I haven't done it yet, but it's crossed my mind after a few team fights/exchanges where I've been forced to recall due to being low health afterwards.
I figured the reaction from my teammates would be WTF once they see a

is bad on Akali and Fizz
is core on both of those champions, no liandries
Liandries is only good on Rumble, Vel'Koz, Brand, Corki (if you want more magic), etc.
(which needs to build) is core on Akali though
is viable on Akali you should get it first. Even start with to help with last hitting early.
I agree with everyone about building the Hextech on Akali, but I wouldn't recommend it on Fizz. If you want life steal on Fizz, I'd suggest a more Hybrid based build. Try a tri force, hextech, and a frozen mallet. I've seen a few games where fizz with this build did crazy good. :)
There's nothing wrong with it..what people are saying about the hexblade on Akali is on point. As both these champions though...you generally want to stay back out of the fight and pick your input point...doing so tends to lessen the damage you generally receive and will help to eleviate the need to either constantly back or a desire for the vamp scepter.
One thing though...sadly AP Fizz is dead...he got nerfed so hard he's not really worth it. Instead try running him with a Tri-Force and a BoTRK. AD Fizz is much MUCH stronger at the moment. Look up some builds on him at probuilds.net and you'll see that that's currently the way to go for Captain Troll Pole.
