A Tip For Heimer Players
After waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too many arams and normals facing against Heimer players or even with them on my team I feel something needs to be said. I've been maining heimer since I first started playing.
MAN UP
Seriously. You are playing
One of the top champions at getting into a lane and making it HIS lane. You are a lane dominator. That is your lane now. Set up your turrets, and /own/ that lane. Stop placing your turrets where the minions will attack them first. Don't get into a lane and then be afraid to own it, you will get bullied out of lane. You are squishy so if you do not own that lane you will die. When you waddle around and do not assert your dominance you give the enemy the illision that they can push you out of lane. Heimer is all about your state of mind entering that lane. Your opponet is watching you, and if you show weakness they will use it to thier advantage, especially now with so many champs that can push heimer and bypass his turrets. And please stop setting your turrets in a straight line. Set them up in a triangle, with two in the front and one behind, making sure that the circles overlap in such a way that all three turrets can hit each other and cover as much space as possible. Remember the order you placed your turrets, because when you place a fourth one the first one you set up will go away. Everytime you level up your turrets replace all of them, because they will still have the same stats as when you first placed them. Also I see so many heimer players disreagard your grenade. That is your only method of protect should you get dived or are being chased. If someone is chasing right behind you, line up the cursor on top of you and throw it. The speed of your throw is slow enough that if you aim it like that it should hit them.
Teamfight. Dont blow your ult the minute it starts, so many heimers place their ult turret at the wrong time and it means the enemy can just walk away and laugh as it cant hit them. Timing is everything. 9/10 I wait for the enemy team to engage first. I generally never engage because in my opinion, heimer isnt a great initatior but an excellent defender. Your team needs to be on the same page. Let the enemy engage first. (This is also what I was talking about earlier Confidence. You own this lane, they can come to you!) they once they foolishly dive you plant that turret right in the middle, use your grenade when you can, if your smaller turrets are knocked out be sure to place them again as the teamfight progresses. As heimer, you protect your team. Your turrets are their home, and you are the general of this army.
In closing Heimer is the ultimate lane controller. It's all in your mindset. You need to be confident and control that lane, it is YOURS. You control that lane, you control the fights, you make the decisions, you protect your team.
is a leader. That doesn't mean you always carry, or have the most kills. But you /control/. That's what heimer is all about.
