Game Mode: Sudden Death

One thing i've noticed is that I consistently have the least deaths in most matches, say like I have 3-5 vs other peoples 12-15. I play very carefully and dont engage unless I think I can come out on top.

How about a mode where we apply that principle. Now this may or may not have been volunteered before but the idea is that If you die you don't respawn. (or perhaps there would be ways to earn extra lives or something) It would be on a different map maybe, as I think it would be hard to pull off on SR. Games would be short, and sweet, but I think the excitement would come when people have very long matches. It would definitly promote smarter plays. What do you guys think?

And then your jungler gets excecuted by the toad and everyone on the teams just sorta shuffles around awkardly

What if when dead you could see the whole map and could help your team from beyond the grave. And what if taking a certain objective revived the teammate who died first.

Hmm, it would be rather interesting to see the team comps that come out of this. Do you want to go tanky for survivability or raw damage for fast kills? I see a few champions being over picked here, but that happens already in Rift so I fail to see why not.

maybe like a mini HA map, and a few rounds where the surviving team gets a point. it could be cool to have a few rounds each to represent early, mid, and late game builds where you get so much gold at the start of them. like 3 rounds of ~1300 gold like aram and dom, then 3 more with an extra couple thousand to get a couple items, then 3 more with enough for end game builds.

I like the idea of this new game mode, but if game mode's are really short, the queue time not be justified unless multiple rounds can be played within a single match-up. Maybe play with 3 lives, best 2 of 3/3 of 5 on a non-jungle map.

Would players start at, say Level 6? Level 18? Would they have modified starting gold (1000? 3000?)

Edit: Another idea to consider: If a multi-round system were implemented, maybe the team who wins a round gets a Level up (assuming they don't start at 16-18), or that there is no EXP gain unless your team gets a kill?

Why do I have this odd feeling Katarina would dominate?

how would you win? destroy the nexus or just kill everyone on the enemy team? if it was destroy the nexus, DoT mages with ignite could kill the last person right as they die resulting in 0 champions left alive and an endless game until one team decides to surrender or winions eventually RNG their way to victory.

I'm thinking it would be on a different map. Maybe Howling abyss or possibly a new small map. And I'm thinking that there would be objectives needed to take, towers, a nexus ect. But death in all enemies results in a round end (win) however it would be made.

For all you COD players think of search and destroy.

maybe gold reset on death?

So people with the longest range would be picked, or ultimates like Karthus and Xerath's.
