Does Nami fit in the current meta game? (Need those Nami/support mains to show up :p )

Hey guys! I'm a new support main in the season 5 and I've been playing a lot of Morgana and Soraka , but wanted to try using Nami since I like her poking/disengaging style a lot. The thing is, I feel like she really needs to land those Aqua Prison to be useful in messy teamfights. I know thats why she has her big wave of doom, for disengage, but that dosen't win you teamfights like landing a 2 or 3 man bubble would. With the hard engage team comps meta ( JarvanIV Gnar Sivir Annie those guys) she really feel like a great support to play, but the high mobility of champions in the current meta makes it hard to land bubbles. Maybe its just me playing her wrong :/ Tell me what you guys think and how you play her :) P.S : Don't blast me if I said something completely wrong about Nami's play style, like I said, I'm a new support main and I'm just her to learn more about that role :3 and if I made some grammar mistakes, english isn't my primary language...

yes she does, LOL. Shes one of the strongest supports right now. I main adc but part of being able to play a good adc is understanding how support works so heres some tips for nami:

  1. When you're trying hit the enemy with your Q, try to aim the hitbox centered on the enemy. If the enemy is running away, aim your bubble in front of the enemy in the direction they're running. This should increase your chance of landing the spell.

  2. With nami's W, it can bounce twice meaning that you can either heal 2 allies and dmg 1 enemy OR dmg 2 enemies and heal 1 ally so you have alot of versatility with this spell for different situations. Note that this spell only bounces between enemy and ally champion but NEVER between allies and all players have to be within the range of your W. So take note of these situations to hit all 3 targets: 1 enemy and 2 allies - W either ally 2 enemies and 1 ally - W either enemy

  3. When you or a nearby ally are trying to escape or chase an enemy. cast your W/E to proc your passive for the bonus movement speed.

You can also use Nami's ult for engage if you need, but more than a 'disengage' champion she is good for counter engages. You go against a hard engage comp and as they set up a 'combo' you turn around and cc them to start your own engage.

She's been getting a bit of LCS play since worlds at least and she is honestly pretty good in the nets especially with supports like Leona and Thresh running around.

Nami's decently strong in the current meta. Perhaps not top tier...but at least soundly within the second. There's nothing wrong with her what so ever...excellent sustain, good engage, etc. Yes landing her bubbles are key, but don't underestimate a well placed ebb and flow in a team fight or even just using your speed buff to help your ADC chase down a fleeing enemy.
