So how do you get out of extreme tilt? Plat 1 to Gold 5

Yeah so I've been on pretty extreme tilt for a few months now, from Plat 1 all the way to Gold 5 (maybe even lower? I'm at like 0 LP) AMA lol.

I speculate there are a lot of reasons for this, like how I lost my promos like 4 times, some involving the change in meta, how my favorite champs are now like tier-3 or lower, how the standard gameplay seems to have shifted to "pick the most annoying prick champion you can", etc etc. but ultimately I'm thinking it has to do with my mentality approaching games.

It seems I've just lost all hope in my teammates, and as a result have lost the will to even bother contesting mildly difficult or annoying games. It's not a conscious decision either, but when the enemy bot lane is like 7/0 I just unconsciously stop trying or something and make 90001 mistakes. It's pretty much at the point where unless my team isn't feeding, I 100% don't see me winning the game.

The worst part is, I ain't even mad. If I were totally stressed/raged then this would be an easy problem to solve, but here I am, playing League as normally as I can, and I'll easily go on 7-8 game losing streaks. I'm not performing poorly, but I'm not carrying as hard as I know I can.

I've tried all ye olde tips and tricks on tilting like taking a break, playing some normals, playing some other games, blah blah blah but they don't seem to work. I've put in like 120 hours of Diablo 3 and even got my Starcraft 2 account to Diamond, but when I return to League it's just the same story over and over.

Maybe league just isn't for me anymore?

I dunno, it really just sounds like you've completely lost interest in league - it sounds like you're much better than your current skill level, you just have no motivation to try to win games and don't want to bother. At this point, it might be best just to wait for the ladders to be reset so you have something to motivate you to play again.

Duo queuing with someone you want to see win might help too, since you'll actually feel invested in the game's outcome, hopefully.

Oh man, I'm in the same position. Gold 5 to Silver 5 in less than a week, massive loss streak even in games where I did extremely well (Twice I went 20+ kills with less than 15 deaths as a hyper carry and we still lost cause when I die, my teammates literally become headless chickens and get caught out, aced and we lose). I'm not even angry at my teammates, that phase was long past after I reached Silver 2. I just want to rank up and when we lose, I don't rage, I just feel empty and try to play normally.

There are times when I KNOW I could've outplayed someone but I don't have the motivation to do it. It just feels extremely crushing to me. And now that I'm in Silver 5, I'm getting paired with people who can't play that well (The last game I played had someone who didn't know Soraka had a rework and thought she could still give mana) and I'm currently sitting at 40 LP, waiting to get demoted to Bronze 1 for the first time in my ranked journey (Placed in silver 3 during provisionals).

I've just stopped playing ranked and play normals now. And the annoying thing is, in those matches even when I'm not trying, I manage to outplay and carry a match. I've decided to stop playing till I can get over this.

league isnt for you

Well, it seems you lost the will to try, you should stay away from ranked games for like a looooong time no one wants a squidward on their ranked games when you cross out both annoying and difficult games, all thats left is either you guys are stomping, or they are stomping and you wont learn shit from either of them it sounds like to me, as soon as games get abit difficult but there's still a chance for your team to contest... you just fuqing throw the game and that fighting chance just goes spiraling away.... maaaaybe, juuuuust maybe... eeh its starting to be mostly your fault?

Maybe you just forgot how to win.

Really... like... you've lost whatever you had that gave you a leg up on your competition.

It might be good to just go over some tutorials and figure out what you are/aren't doing in your games. Maybe record some games and review them after. One thing is if you are saying you're getting 20+ kills in a game and still losing, it means you are taking too many kills for yourself and not allowing your team to get some of those... If your whole team is bad, they need the kills WAY more than you do. So try to set up situations where you can literally spoon feed kills to your teammates. This way they get more gold/xp and they can get better items, which might be just enough to let them not die as much.

I used to be like you where I'd get tons of kills and I was basically the whole team... and if I died, we'd 100% lose at least one objective every time. So dying really wasn't an option toward the late game as I was super fed but the rest of my team was struggling.
