Should You Build Health on Soraka?

Soraka

Is it a smart move to build health on Soraka?

I heard it's not a good move because it makes her heals weaker, is that true? You'd think it's a good move because you'd have more health to heal with.

Thank you.

Edit: Thank you for all who helped.

Never stack too much Health on Soraka, because you'll only hurt yourself more when you heal people. Getting pure Armor/MR stats like item 3110 is ideal enough.

I doesn't make your heals weaker, it just makes them cost more.

Generally, you want to build resistances on Soraka. There are a few exceptions where I'd build health. One is Warmog's. The passive heals you so much that it's okay to build Health with that item. You use a heal and before you know it, you gained that health back. Another one is Spirit Visage. The increase in healing effects helps you regain your health when you hit with your starfall...plus it gives a good amount of MR.

As mentioned below, since soraka's heal is % health based, having more health can make it feel like it'll take longer to be able to heal someone. You want to build a combination of AP (she has decent ap ratios for her self healing and healing in general), armor mr and most importantly, health regen.

Despite it being considered a 'troll' item, item 3512 is really good, I mean...look at those stats. And the active is cute. :D

Your heals take a % of your health, so building health won't help there. BUT if you don't have enough health, you will die super quickly if the enemy team tries to damage you. So you still need to balance your resistances with extra health to optimize for effective health. So yes. Really depends on the type of team you have, the type of team they have, and how well you position.
