Considering buying her right now seems like a fun champ that I could play top or jungle with (roles that I need to expand my champ pool in)

I was just wondering if she's viable this season and just about any tip for playing her, whether it be in laning phase or team fights, match-ups or when to pick Shyvana. I can't seem to find much information in regards to this champion and was just wanting to know if any of you Shyvana mains wished to share. :)

Pick Shyvana when Venus is aligned with Mars and Jupiter.

But NOT Saturn. You're just asking for trouble then.

I always found Shyvana a very strong champion in the game. She might not have CC, but she has good attack and defense, as well as an initiation. Furthermore, she is able to clear is jungle easily and is really valued late game. I just find her very easy to pick up and play, but she also has decent potential. Remember to follow the recommended items before you get more experienced with her. BTW, a sunfire cape is really important as it adds extra AOE on top of your W.

Good luck.

If you find her a fun champ and willing to make it work out go for it I tried her in the jungle once cuz it she was on free week but ganks werent very effective, personally I like playing junglers with ganking power as far as team fights go, she is like every other duelist/bruiser... you dont team fight very well, you're sorta just there dealing damage when you can and hope you dont get kited

i know how to jungle and a showing me your score really didnt help anything... its actually more condescending then helpful. only useful thing you stated was to get a frozen mallet.

After using ult and the fight is getting close, make sure you have your W up to kite them. If they decide to chase, you will gain the movement speed while applying DoT as they remain trailing you. When your skills are off CD it may be a good idea to go back in. Just a quick tip i wanted to apply

Shyvana is a great champ and i would reccomend her! like other comments have stated she really has no cc outside of her ulti knocking back but so long as other teamates have cc you shouldnt need it. As for the top lane, i think she has a lot of really good matchups and she doesnt have any form of resource so you can spam skills all day and have little issues. As for the jungle there are a lot of many viable champions right now and i think she could easilly be one of them! i used to use her when feral flare first came out and i learned a few things about her jungle there: she has no manna so you really dont ever need a blue buff so you can hand them off to solo laners and not feel bad, her ganks are kinda whatever unless you are ulting over a wall and the enemy doesnt see it coming.

overall i think she is fun to relitivly easy to play, so go for it!

I've been rolling her as tank bot lane, he has natural tank and good scaling with her Q you don't have to worry about building damage for a while so it's a plus, the E is a good poke and has great lane control, dragon makes excellent plays for adc, and really makes you a god for a while. Try it out, I highly suggest not doing jungle, it's not as effective anymore. Top is risky with all the ranged tops though.

If your gonna jungle with her heres a good path to get u started:

Golems (smite it) > Red > Frog (smite it) > Blue > Wolves > Recall

This starting path will get you first upgrade to jungle item and boots.

Monsters can be smited right away to get their buff, dont wait to last hit with it.

Always try to complete Frozen Mallet during mid game, its a must for her.

Have fun. Good luck.
