What does "let's win the macro game" mean?
We were all feeding and someone who looked like he knew what he was doing said that and i had no clue what he meant by that

strategy on large scale rather than mechanics (microing)
Generally I am guessing he meant winning through macro play, aka making the most out of small advantages to gain power as a group. Freezing lanes for exp and gold while denying them to the enemy, not taking risks, just full on turtling in the base.
Eventually Gold means nothing in a game. There is no power difference between 50,000 gold and 500,000 gold.
Macro play means to work as a team to eek out advantages rather than trying to "1v1 me bruh"
Focusing on "big picture" end game outcomes.
For example:
Micro-play: CSing, farming under tower, skirmishes and teamfighting effectively Macro-play: Securing an objective of some kind, rotating and being around objectives, warding/vision.
For example keeping all the waves shoved, warding around an objective such as baron and dragon, keeping the entire team on one half of the map to maybe sneak the objective, looking at what towers can be taken and split push, getting catches from over-extension.
Ideas similar to that.
You are looking at trying to secure objectives in a fashion that typically lead to a win and not the small mechanics in specific instances, such as a well coordinated team fight.
Essentially, it probably meant your team was losing because your team's individual mechanical prowess at the game (for each member) was inferior to the opposing team. This probably meant laning went REALLY bad. The player is suggesting that you need to focus less on small objectives driven by mechanics and instead focus on bigger objectives that could lead to a victory. Such as "how can we take a tower and how can we take more towers than the enemy team?" Rather than "how can we win the next team fight?"
Micro play is individual mechans. ie: landing skill shots, dodging skill shots, CS, well timed smites, etc. Macro play is more large scale, like taking objectives, good decision making, map control, etc.
Good macro play is generally more important for winning games.
Macro is where people can program their keyboard to where all they have to do is press 1 button and it instantly does the champion's combo.
At least from what other people told me.
