The biggest tip I can ever give to get to plat+

Play specific champions and play a bunch and I mean a BUNCH games with them. You could be like me and play on and off and want to have fun and play diff champs, but if you play a specific champ for 400+ games I would imagine anyone becoming plat+ and if you don't believe me go take a good look at people who have played X champion the most of all the summoner... the top 20 list and tell me that I'm not right lol.

  • There are instances where people play ranked so much and they don't play to learn, but just for lulz and that's some of the people who have 2k games a season and just play with friends duo in ranked for shits and giggles

  • Lastly don't get me wrong... if you think you like a certain champ and you play a bunch of games and think you are going to do nothing but win, you are sadly mistaken. I have understood that people play champs that they like, but really they could do so much better if they spammed a different champion because they are just naturally good at that champion.

5 of the top 6 morgana most played aren't even gold.

It's not about playing a champ over and over. It's about understanding your champion's limitations, which you can accomplish by playing that champion a lot. But in order to understand your champion's limitations, you also need to have balls and go out and make the plays. You can't always play like a wimp, or you can spam 3k urgot games and still be silver.

tl;dr it's not about spamming one champion over and over. it's about having the guts to go out there and truly understand how much you can get away with when playing your champ

But that's soooo boring I just can't do it.

I've often thought if I stuck to one champ/role I could get further up the ladder, but I've come to the conclusion I'd rather just stay in gold and have fun playing a variety of champions then go super serious mode and master just a few.

Guess that's just me.

I can attest to this. I got to plat by mainly only 4 champs. (Annie Caitlyn Warwick Sion)

However, you can't just mindlessly play your games. You actually have to bother to learn what you do right and what you do wrong and continue to refine yourself over the course of every game.

I want to main a champion. Like Fabby, with 1k+ games with Draven. Seeing someone playing a champion for 2000 times is really crazy, though.

So, I want to main Nami. Even though sometimes my team says "we need tank, fk u u picked nami gg no tank", I just feel like that's the only thing I can play to win. Ask me to play tank support and I pick Thresh? rofl we're gonna lose b/c I can't even land a hook and the ADC will rage at me; if I play Nami, I am certain that I will know what to do.

Sadly, I have (minor) commitment issues. I used to main Ezreal (when I first started playing), then I mained Twisted Fate, Jinx, Caitlyn... To Nami. The reason I stop playing my supposedly "mains" is because I find out their cons. Yea, it's like I dump my GF because she picks her nose. Everyone picks their nose; every champion has its cons. I don't know how to "live with" the champion's cons. I just feel like I want to try another champion that is "perfect"... I'd like to spam Nami games but what if I get bored of her? And I feel so shallow because I play "OP champs" only. Yes, I'd rather play Lucian and Graves than Jinx because they both have dashes.
