Elise Buffs? [Poll]
Can we get a Elise buff now?
Can we get a Elise buff now?
Please rito?
I'd say the itemization changes and the jungle changes were a buff to her. She can build Juggernaut -> Haunting Guise and Sorceror Shoes now, instead of having to get early AP, so she'll be much more durable now while doing similar damage and having Tenacity.
In addition, the jungle camps hit much harder now, so her ability to have spiderlings tank for her will leave her with much more health to work with than most junglers. This gives her the ability to perform early gank or invade the enemy jungler and kill them while they are low on health from their first clear.
How about we wait a couple weeks to see how the new jungle works out before asking for nerfs or buffs?

Problem with Spiderling tanking is that the dragon and buffs both do AOE damage now and absolutely devastate her spiderlings.
Otherwise, I do feel the jungle changes were good for her. Chilling Smite really helps her ganking (slow them to make landing cocoons easier, or slow them just after changing to spider to keep them around longer), and the lengthened spawn timers are good for her ability to focus on invasions or ganking (since she's less likely to lose out on time clearing camps), and the AOE smite deals with her somewhat slowish clearing speed. She can easily kill the river crab in a rotation without giving it a chance to run away (lowering the risk of it fleeing right into an enemy), and her spiderlings and the sustain from her W give her a pretty healthy first 3 camps.
NB3 mentioned it on stream; Itemization is better for her, but there's no conservation stacks so Elise gets less gold and becomes less relevant later. Other junglers can just farm or have ways of staying relevant without many items, but Elise usually needs to gank in order to stay relevant in the game; she's not really a farming jungler.
The new jungle and itemization changes are pretty beneficial to her, but she still lacks any actual strengths that make her unique. She doesn't bring much to the team and I feel needs some compensation to become as good as she once was. Not to the point where she was overpowered of course, but to the point where she can definitely be that threat everyone fears if the person using her actually knows how to use her.
A 10.6/1 approval ratio, come on Riot. Elise has a win percent of 43.25%, the third smallest of all champions.
Rito pls
This people saying yes, but riot still not doing anything WHAT THE HELL?
Seriously I really want these buffs so I can start playing her again without getting flamed for picking a non-meta / anti-op unless played right champ...
Elise is getting a buff :'D Just 25 increased max damage to her Q's at all ranks, but hey, it's a start. Riot's finally noticed Elise isn't in a good place.

That's to monsters, but that's not bad...
something to make lane elise not suck would be nice.
Hell no. She still does insane damage with only 2 magic pen items and straight tank.
She does % health damage and scales horribly with AP. Even with that % health damage, Elise becomes nothing more than a glorified support after the early game. Her job is to jump in and exterminate those low health or squishy units. She can't do that very well anymore or there are just champions that do that better than her.
The Spider Queen has nothing that she really excels in anymore and that's a big problem.
She does not scale horribly with AP, especially in jungle. Her Q has a 3% current/missing HP ratio, increasing her 8% ratio by double at only 266 AP (try finding one that doubles quicker), and her basic attacks plus spiders deal much heavier damage with AP (.8 ratio for all combined, per attack). Heck, her spiderling heal during W is immensely improved as well (doubled at only 100 AP... another rarity), and her Volatile Spiderling can have .8 on a large area.
Just try to compare that to an AD ratio. She still needs tank, but she most certainly works with AP plenty well. It gives her sustain, AoE damage, and bursty single-target damage with Skittering Frenzy... There's basically no reason not to abuse her AP ratios except that she can't abuse both that and her tankiness easily. Also, most of her bursty damage is situational, so you either need a heavy CC team working with you, or you need to create your own ways of catching up (quick boots, Bilgewater Cutlass, Aether Wisp, etc.) Aside all of that, she's quite competent with AP.

Only 266 AP? That amount of AP costs approximately 5800 gold, not a small number to a jungler. Sure you can rush a Magus enchant and then something that builds from a Needlessly Large Rod, but you're gonna be extremely squishy.

Let's compare said ratio to other doubles:
Viktor: Q - 600AP / 550 AP W - None E - 350+ AP R - 450+ AP
Katarina: Q - 350+ AP W - 720 AP E - 400 AP R - 300 AP
Ahri: Passive: 222 AP (all heal) Q - 400 AP W - 350 AP E - 514 AP R - 500 AP
Nidalee: Q - 375 AP / 266 AP W - 900 AP (and at only 2% Current HP to Elise's 3%) / 666 AP E - 410 (Heal) / 555 AP R - None
And meanwhile Elise?
Q - 266 AP (3% current HP per 100 AP) / 266 AP (3% Missing HP per 100 AP) W - 344 AP / 100 AP (Heal) E - None R - 133 AP Spiderlings: 400 AP
Yeah, all magic sources of damage, yet nothing with over 400 AP to double, and 3 sources of damage with less than 300 AP to double. What it means at the very least is that her AP pads her bases extremely well, and that Magic Pen is downright pitiful compared to straight-up AP. Meanwhile, that's the only way she's played (with the tank, of course). The lack of cheap, tanky, accessible AP is one reason for this, but it definitely doesn't mean she scales badly by any means. Of these popular Rabaddon's Cap champions, only Nidalee and Elise have even one spell under a 300 AP double on anything at all. Also, with her .8 AP ratio on DPS damage (.3 on auto, .5 on spiderlings), she has a lot of potential outside straight-up burst, and her % HP damage improvement gives her another potential alley of success: Vs. HP tanks.
Plain and simple, she's more than proficient with AP.
Pretty sure they won't change her damage, because lets be real, full tank will still do quite a bit all things considered. As long as buffs are being talked about, maybe she should have her E nerf reverted?
After the damage nerfs, she still did fine clearing and fighting champs. After the E cooldown change happened, you just maxed E instead of W, and since you were probably building tank anyway, it didn't make much of a difference. But after the Cacoon width and especially the Rappel range nerfs, she felt so weak and risky to play.

E revert... that's all I want
Yes, she desperately needs a buff. I feel what would be the most useful would be higher ap ratios. Her damage becomes irrelevant in the late game, no matter how fed she may get. I miss playing her, but she's just not strong right now...
They should buff her base health or give her some resistances on her spider form. She's played as a tanky initiator but I don't think her stats allow her to function that way.
thanks
I just want a buff to full AP elise.
