After going from silver to gold here are some tips and tricks that I learned to help.

There are a million and one points of advice that can help one climb elo so I will not be covering everything. (For example: "GET GOOD AT LAST HITTING AND DON'T FLAME TEAMMATES" is kind of a no brainer) Also, these tips are from my own personal experiences. P.S. : Sorry for the caps lock speech.. I get emotional

1. PLAY NORMALS A LOT. I have a SHIT TON of normal games played and they will help you prepare for ranked. No I don't mean "play 20 games after reaching level 30".. I mean play 200+ games before playing ranked. I know you want that championship skin but if you think you can get to gold after playing 20 games after level 30... sorry bro but enjoy bronze. You should also play a couple of normal games in between your ranked games. Sometimes you just want to play for fun (like support ) and normal games is perfect for that. FINALLY AND THIS IS IMPORTANT : IF YOU THINK YOU DO NOT BELONG IN YOUR ELO... FIND A HIGH PLAT TO DUO WITH IN NORMALS... YOU WILL LEARN A LOT AND IF YOU ARE FREQUENTLY GETTING SHAT ON IN LANE THAN PERHAPS SILVER IS WHERE YOU BELONG AND NOT GOLD. I UNDERSTAND THAT NORMAL QUEUE AND RANKED QUEUE HAVE DIFFERENT MMR'S BUT TRUST ME ON THIS AND FIND SOME HIGH ELO BUDDIES TO HAVE FUN WITH IN NORMALS.

I would give a shoutout here but I'm not sure if that is allowed. (I know naming and shaming isn't allowed)

2. This is the true heart as to how I climbed to gold.

So your in the middle of the game.. you call out your roles and then minimize your computer and start surfing the web and then maybe come back once it is your turn to pick..... Check beforehand and watch what the enemy picks..... IF YOUR OPPONENTS PICK THESE CHAMPIONS YOU NEED TO STOP WHATEVER THE FUCK YOU ARE DOING. IF THEY PICK THESE CHAMPIONS YOU NEED TO PUT ON YOUR TRYHARD PANTS ON. YOU NEED TO START COMMUNICATING WITH YOUR TEAM IN CHAT AND START COUNTERPICKING. BELIEVE ME; IF THEY PICK THESE CHAMPIONS THEY DESERVE TO GET CAMPED, FOCUSED, AND COUNTERPICKED.

TL;DR : FUCK THESE GUYS UP BOYS! GIVE THEM NO QUARTER!

My favorite pick against these guys?

Here is the list:

Master Yi: This guy will DELETE your squishies. If I had a quarter for every time the 1-4 Master Yi came in and then got a reset city which suddenly made him the most dangerous player on the enemy team... SPECIAL SHOUTOUT TO .... YOU NEED TO FUCK THOSE GUYS UP HARDCORE.

Nasus: A ticking time bomb that can only be delayed. I had a game where the only person that could get to and kill our backline was their 1-7 They build full tank and deal ridiculous amounts of damage if they are given even a few minutes of farm. Try to end the game quickly if possible or you need to start kiting like a silver player on kalista.

Riven: Similar to Master Yi : No matter how hard you shut them down they can somehow still DELETE your squishies. That said.. if you can survive Riven's all in and then kill her.. you won the lane... until she gets one fucking kill on a different lane.

Vayne: To put things into perspective: a with 4 points in silver bolts deals 8% of your maximum hp as true damage. That means if vayne has LITERALLY NO ITEMS BUT HAS POINTS IN SILVER BOLTS; SHE CAN KILL EVEN THE TANKIEST OF DUDES. I have NEVER had a game where the match lasted 35+ minutes and thought to myself "we are losing because is not pumping out any dps". Sure I may have had a game where vayne was the only one pumping out dps but I have NEVER EVER had a game where it is minute 35 and we are losing because vayne is dealing no damage.

P.S. ARMOR DOES NOT COUNTER VAYNE. ARMOR HELPS AGAINST VAYNE BUT YOU CAN'T BE LIKE "I GOT AND SO VAYNE SHOULDN'T BE ABLE TO DUEL ME/KILL ME." BURST/CC AND COUNTER .

: A nightmare in solo queue .. if can instakill your squishies without using her ult (or channeling it for like .25 seconds) than it is G fucking G.

// Champions that I did not place on the list:

Get a and if your adc says something like "I'm building but I got the BF sword first because I'm not dealing enough damage even though he has then you need to kindly ask him to stay far back/hug a teammate with hard cc. " This is a true story.

: actually rekts her so hard it is funny.. The problem is getting people to buy the damn thing.

1. What about ? It is easy: If Rito releases a flat out OP champion than just ban the sonofabitch. Big shoutout to players saying pick to counter the permaroot.. Their SHAT ON our pre 6.

/ : These guys hurt late game but they can be sub par if they are shut down in lane.. unlike or .

: Similar to in his ability to do insane amounts of damage and clean up; however, in your elo he does not know how to use his wind wall so you should easily be able to kill him.

: Not really an issue but she actually demolishes buildings... I was trying to stop her from killing our nexus turrets and pinging my teammates going HALP IS WINNING THE GAME!! Of course team does not respond... just make sure to keep her away from buildings.

I'm sure there are others but these are just the champions that are coming off the top of my head.

3. Post Game:

Tip number 1: Check your recently played and look at what rank your opponents are at. YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW SATISFYING IT IS TO BE SILVER 1 AND GOLD 4/5 TEAMMATES AND SHITTING ON A TEAM WITH 3 GOLD 3'S AND 2 PLAT 5'S. It is a huge boost to your morale and makes you feel so good about yourself. At the same time if you lost a game and your opponents were LOWER elo than you.. well then you need to shape up because Rito will think that you should be in silver 5 rather than silver 2. P.S. NEVER DO THIS BEFORE THE GAME STARTS.. ONLY AFTER.. BELIEVE ME I HAVE SEEN SOME TERRIBLE PLAYERS WHO TURN OUT TO BE PLAT 5'S AFTER CHECKING THE RECENTLY PLAYED.

Finally, if you are going "WHY IS RITO PUTTING ME UP AGAINST PLAT 5 WHEN I'M SILVER 1?" It is actually a GREAT thing. Right after becoming silver 1 with 0 LP I had a 3 game loss streak... BUT I DIDN'T GET DEMOTED SO TECHNICALLY LP WISE I LOST NOTHING HUE HUE HUE HUE HUE HUE. If I was playing against say silver 4/5 than maybe Rito might go "hoy, you don't belong in silver 1 after all; go back to silver 2".
