Why is Bronze sooooooooo annoying?!?!? I need HELP!

MalaceX·5/8/2015, 2:09:54 AM·2 votes·2,806 views

I just want to climb without reaching 90 LP and being forced to lose the next 1-2 games repetitively. Get 338 cs in a game and push a lane to destroy a inhibitor? Sorry, gotta lose this one. Go 11/2/11 with 492 cs? Nope, not good enough.

All those people who say Bronze is easy and they can get out in a day or 2, tell me how specifically. Saying I need to "carry" isn't going to cut it. Check out my match history and give me some suggestions. I'm all out of ideas. http://na.op.gg/summoner/userName=MalaceX

I can definitely relate to it being frustrating, but I think for me one thing that helps with that is to make note of the games where someone else carries me. It's easy to be pissed when you do well and can't win (it WILL happen sometimes, and that's okay; if it happens all the time, look for what you need to be doing better bc you aren't influencing the map if your score looks great and you always lose), but remembering that you win sometimes even though you do bad helps.

I'd say if you're consistently doing that well and it isn't like 60-70 minute games then if you're losing a bunch like that you need to look at what you're doing bc you aren't using your advantage to win. My advice with out being able to see how you play is probably pretty limited, but I think for me the biggest difference that helped me get out of bronze was learning to turn a kill into dragons/towers/and kills for teammates. It was great when I started out playing my opponents in mid/top and had good score lines/damage, but what helped me win was when I started killing an enemy or pushing them out and using that time to DO something. If I kill and just go to base and come back and kill again I'm not contributing to a win, just my score line. If I kill and tell the jungle to come duo dragon w/ me then the whole team just got 6% ap and ad bonus. If that was a mastery in the offense tree and it took one point (getting on kill in a game you do well in is pretty easy so we will call it just one mastery point) everyone would think it was super op. If I kill my lane and take the tower, I just added to all my teammates CS and help them catch up in a losing lane. If I rotate and take a tower in a teammates lane, no only have I basically given everyone free CS (global gold op), but I also made it easy for the jungle to gank their lane and they don't have to tower dive. Little stuff like that and warding (can't tell you how often I have warded top after I failed a gank, and that trinket ward saved them from the enemy jungle while I was ganking mid or bot). Anyway if you're doing all that and getting those kinds of score lines you should climb fast. If you aren't it is probably that you aren't getting those score lines consistently, or you aren't turning you winning lane into an advantage for your team (objectives, roam kills, pressure on your lane that makes multiple people come to it and not to other lanes), so it's easier for the enemy team to beat you bc you aren't helping the team and they can ignore you and shut down the other 4 people w/ you.

what I did:

  • I played vayne and just killed everyone (others adcs also work, but I like vayne since she works well vs tanks).
  • I played support and really hard peeled for the carries
  • I played tryn and killed everyone
  • I did other things, but too many to really put down here.

the best thing to do is get an early lead. people make mistakes a lot In bronze, so you can either get a kill or kick them out of lane almost all the time.

if you get botrk over hydra on talon I will murder you in your sleep

Ahem. What was I saying? Oh, right. Diana is much better as AP. She rushes an Abyssal or Zhonyas and gets a Lich Bane as her mana item. Also one of the only people I get 2 dorans rings on.

Zed is hotly contested with the best build for him. IMO just experiment with everything and use the one you like best on him.

bruh you actually shouldnt be in bronze imo

honestly wtf

idk man you are literally doing everything right as far as i can tell (this is coming from a plat player)

i mean it looks like you are tilting right now but damn you overall stats are great for bronze

the only thing i can really see is low kill participation maybe you are sitting in lane farming too much idk i think if you keep at it you will get out

Mid lane can be one of the easier roles to carry with, but only if you know what you are doing. It's either hit or really... Really... Miss... You can roam a lot with mid lane, which means if your bot lane is doing horrible for instance, you can pick up the slack for them. If your top is Yasuo vs a riven, well you probably can't kill Riven but let's assume you can.

Mid lane is smack in the middle of everything. Wards, the enemy junglers 10 ganks in 7 minutes, and lategame map importance. If you can win mid lane, then roam and get more kills/feed your side lanes, you can win so much easier. But the res so much pressure on you winning if your ADC doesn't just crush their lane, it can be a bit daunting.

I played maybe 30 games with Yasuo before starting to understand him. It takes a while, but one day it'll click and you'll be like "wait, hang on, I can win my lane?"

Ahri is fantastic at maintaining leads reached in early game, and extending them into5the 50-minute mark, but is very hit-or-miss. If you lose lane as Ahri... Ouch. Prepare to memorize her death voice clips.

Ah, Zed. Out of my top five or so mid laners, the ones I will comfortably play ranked with at any given time, are the two other AD mid laners, but not him. That's not to say I'm bad at him, I just find Talon more fun to play IMO as my assassin of choice. That's not to say I DONT play Zed.

Zed has an extremely high ban rate near constantly, even in Diamond and above. Why? Because he's dangerous and honestly hard to counter. There's a few picks like Kayle that can usually nullify him outright, but nearly everyone who counters him can be ignored by just focusing someone who isn't them in teamfIghts. When you get fed as Zed... It is a glorious feeling. Press R. Mash every key on your keyboard that isn't R, then press R and get a free kill on their ADC and probably everyone else too. There's two ways to build Zed, Botrk or Hydra, but I've also seen common meshes of the two. Hes a strong laner and has two of the best emote spams in the game. I'd recommend trying him, but he isn't for everyone, and I do a better job on Talon than I do with him, so.

I'd also recommend buying a vision ward every timE you play mid lane and put it in the river somewhere. There's a ton of guides on pink ward placements, and mid laners have easy access to the bst spots. You can also do your top or bot a favor by warding for them with that pink depending on where you put it.

12/2/3 with 374 cs. Another loss.

Play Nasus/Yi/Trynd/Fiora, backdoor. Play Katarina and win every teamfight... I know people that went from Bronze to Platinum V/lV just by spamming Fiora/Katarina.

How do you get your team to stop chasing kills and focus objectives in Bronze?

I just had an easy/tough match because players refused to listen. I pinged Drag at 30 secs. Say "30 Drag." No reaction. Then I type "5 sec Drag." No reaction. Then I ping when it's up 5 times. Again, no reaction. However, it's not until my team notices the other team that they want to go contend Drag... late. My logic is, if 3 of the members of my team are Mid and are late to Drag, the next objective would be the Tower at half life, correct? Trade Drag for a Tower? Or is my logic incorrect? Sure, the best thing to do would be for us to get Dragon then get Mid, but there was a failure to communicate.

Fast forward: I'm Top Cho and avoid some unnecessary fights that enabled me to 2 of the towers in my lane and help with outer Mid Tower, before returning to stop Top Fiora from taking my tower. Fast forward again: My team is at the inner mid tower, but they are unable to get damage on the tower because a) We have a Varus ADC and b) our only other ranged champ is a Nami. So, while my team is wasting time Mid/distracting them, I use that time to steal enemy Blue to reduce their resources and ping the inside Bot tower I am near at 50% health.

No one rotates bot until they see the Top Fiora come towards me with 50% health. I assume they are coming to help with the tower. Negative. Three of my teammates are coming to try to kill the Top Fiora. Now, you may wonder if you are 4th and three people are heading your way, where is the 5th? Well, Jungle Lee Sin backed with health then proceeded to push Bot lane for some unknown reason. Again, instead of coming Bot, where we are now trying to take the inhib tower, he has now rotated to push Mid. That's sounds cool, but ONLY if he had got the inner tower. He did not nor did he do damage to it.

At this point, the once Dead Fiora uses this time to revive and teleport Mid, where she proceeds to take an inhib, the two Nexus towers, and is close to ending the game. I am barely able to back and kill her with our Nexus at 50% health. At this time, we have 0 Dragons and 0 Barons. My issue is that players who assume they are "carrying" because they have the most kills on the team don't use their strength to push lanes and get towers. Despite me getting 3 towers, saving multiples players, and assisting in several kills, the Mid Kat says that "I haven't been doing anything to help the team."

The Mid Kat assumes that since we have a 20 kill lead that we have the "advantage." She says this as we have 2 inhibs exposed and 1-2 of their players split pushing at any given time. I continuously tell my team not to be aggressive nor chase kills. Why? Well, the main reason is that their Support Blitzcrank was with Gragas and Ziggs trying to bait them into going for Baron. Unfortunately since my team does not like to push minions waves, I am forced to babysit the base with a Top Cho'Gath with 6 stacks, left to be useless to team fights.

The most unfortunate thing that saddens me is when they invade our base and I finally see an opportunity to offer a little assist or push back in a team fight to get them off an inhib, I do not see the Graves go through the other exposed inhib, taking our easily exposed Nexus. Clearly my team didn't see it either because the Jungle Lee Sin and Mid Kat had tunnel vision on securing any kill they could compared to getting an ace. I said numerous to wait until all our inhibs are up and don't go into until you see all 5 players. I suggested to the Mid Kat to wait until I landed a knock up with Cho in the frontlines before engaging. No one listened and several players were pulled by their Support Blitzcrank before I was in range to do anything constructive in the fight(s).

This was extremely disheartening after so many missed opportunities for a comeback. I wish there was some mass way to inform Bronze players about the importance of objectives, timing, and the overemphasizing of Kills over Objectives that often throw the easiest of wins. For the record, I'm not a fan of Varus or believer in Varus' usefulness in any situation in a Ranked game (of course, this is merely my opinion).

Where did I go wrong and what could I have done differently? http://matchhistory.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/#match-details/NA1/1817406765/208245496?tab=overview
