A Pirates Life: a guide to gangplank, post rework

Gangplank "I have a deficiency ... of cares" Yes, while many people seem to be at a loss of words or grasping at straws on how to play gangplank after his recent keg-party. But fear no longer! For I have decided to share with you the ultimate wisdom on gaining your citrus bounties. summoner 14 It's all about that fire you see, when gangplank got reworked something changed about him, and if you haven't played him in awhile and decided to pick him back up, well you'd notice that "something is different his stats and numbers didnt change really, so why does he feel... weaker ..." well my grog guzzling companions of the sea, its quite simple. His rework removed his passive Attack Damage Steroid. yep that's right, Raise Moral has bit the bullet and with it went the often overlooked and under-appreciated passive increase to his damage. And with it, the mid-late game impact of starting 15% crit runes seems to have died a slow and whimpering death, as rushing full crit deals less damage than it used to.

BUT FEAR NOT, THERE IS STILL HOPE ... are you ready for it? Scaling Attack Damage runes, 45 at lvl 18 to be precise. YUP! everything but blues, convert them to scaling attack damage and reap the benefits! "but mysteriously handsome stranger, thats blasphemy! how will we get the delicious crits we love so much???" I hear you say Well, unfortunately that's where things have changed, but fear not for they have changed for the better!

you see, your new passive deals bonus true damage based on your bonus attack damage. 1.2% percent to be exact and it can only be activated through melee strikes, your tiny pistol can't handle packing that kind of heat!

so what this means is that Gangplank needs a new fighting pattern. A pattern, that I am going to pound into your heads just like a psychotic dance instructor who broke their little toe and is now living vicariously through their students after having their dreams taken from them by a rogue walnut and a rabid chinchilla.

step 1. ad scaling runes. get it. got it. good. step 2. start farming, I don't want to even so much as see you hover your mouse over that enemy laner. step 3. in order and repeat with me, QWEQ, what does that spell? thats right QUICK and that's how you're going to describe your income growth after step 2. 1st item will always be sheen. step 4. barrel at your feet, always ALWAYS be prepared to have an impromptu keg-stand party with your lane opponent, but remember not to be afraid to share, if you see them running towards you to steal your precious keg, just toss them one of their own and then blast yours to smithereens! Because they tainted yours just by looking at it, only you can have the precious cough gollum cough cough step 5. if all has gone according to plan so far, as it should have, you will either be safely farming with a hefty gold lead over your opponent, or safely farming with a heavy gold lead over a charred and blast-marked lane opponent, NOW, if it is the latter this is what you do. walk up to them. throw a barrel slightly behind them. melee them. q your barrel. and melee them again. step 6. repeat step 5 until enemy is dead, if you start taking damage take a breather with your handy dandy fire-pantaloons, the hidden buff that gives you extra move speed when in proximity to explosions.

thats it, enjoy. eats orange is kitem 3069

GP is stronger for a different reason... barrels are strong as all hell People need to just learn to use the barrel... its scary really, when you go crit plank and hit the entire team for a 2k crit.
