I was completely zoned out from the start... so CSing was a no no...

and like ESP.. Somehow annie knew EXACTLY when I was going to use my "E" (pull) abd bound me EVERY TIME.. how is that possible.. is there a giveaway Darius is about to pull that I dont know about?

I didnt have a chance did I?

Darius is already a fairly weak pick because of his immobility, which he makes up for with massive base damage. Problem is, the game favors mobility and utility lately - he doesn't bring much of either.

While this lane is a bitch, it's not impossible. You have to understand that she'll dominate you early simply with ranged AAs which will force you to farm with Q, depleting your mana. And with her E, you're just going to hurt yourself with your combo. However, if you let her walk toward you and in front of a minion wave before turning to E her, She'll draw minion aggro as well as be in range of your Q. you could also let her push and farm under turret or freeze just outside of it.

First off I'd just like to ask about your itemization and runes, if you rushed hydra or brutalizer while being beaten in lane, then I'd agree with you saying you have no chance. But say you grabbed a hex drinker, mercs, and a banshee's veil, I'd say you would have a decent chance in lane, maybe not dominate but a more even lane. And now runes, if you had full ad runes, or maybe ad and armor, or ad and armor pen, then no, but if you had some magic resist blues, then I'd say you have a decent chance. Sorry if I'm sounding condescending, but I see this quite often, people are losing, but they are still just following a set build rather than adjusting to their lane opponent. I also don't play much darius, but I have fought my fair share of Annie players, and sometimes you have to sacrifice some damage to do well in lane.

Not really. Against ranged matches, you need to cheese and abuse your stronger early game with Q, ignite, and your passive.

That being said, your items were pretty bad, you didn't buy any real MR and stuck to a set path of building, that is a horrid way to play this game, itemization is a thing, so if you wanted to go damage, why not hexdrinker, if you wanted tank, why not banshee's veil?

maybe cuz Darius is easy to bait you walk up to him and if he doesnt pull you, thats fine if he tries to pull you well, you were anticipating it anyway so you can just take a step back lol

maybe cuz Darius is telegraphed people dont walk up to others for no reason

if you both advance at the same time, you can probably get a pull off

It is actually fairly simple to lane vs. Annie as Darius. AAs are her only safe harass. Her Q and W both just barely outrange your Q. Take the block+unyielding masteries, and a Doran's Shield. That cancels out a lot of her AA damage, removing her safe harass.

Annie can only stun every 4 spells. and if she holds onto her stun, she can only farm with AAs (which is kinda hard when she has no AD and has a very slow AA animation.) So, if she wants to sit on her stun, shove the wave with Q, watch as she loses farm under tower. If she uses her spells to farm, wait until after she uses her passive proc, then go aggressive. You had MS quints and ghost, so you could easily close the gap to pull range. Annie pretty-much HAS to blow flash if you pull when she doesn't have stun ready, and ghost has a shorter CD than flash. Even if she flashed, if you got your W off, you could probably chase her down. Annie never built any HP even, she was so very killable.

Hexdrinker would probably been a better buy than Hydra, and mercs better than Ninja-tabi. The mercs not only had MR, but would reduce the stun duration.

I think you should start using Flash instead of ghost, especially if you want to escape ganks or outplay your opponent. Ghost is good for Tryndamere, Nasus, Singed, etc.
