I suggest to teammates to gank opposing jungle before minions spawn...

Ive tried it with 3 random matchmaking teams successfully.. and 2 out of three times we not only got the quick kill and made the other team VERY mad.. we also stole their buff.

Immediately after the jungler is killed and buff stolen.. we return to our lanes with almost NO damage done turrets due to the low level of the opposition and our minion protection.. and we all have a big of a boost from the kill/assist.. and their jungler is set WAY back.

HAs anyone else tried this any other thoughts?

Every time the opposing team gets pretty mad..

Do you consider this bad sportmanship or a solid strategy? We have won each time so far.

Kind of annoying to deal with in blind pick when you're just playing a super casual game with friends that never play ranked and aren't really trying that hard (often are AFK talking to wives/going to the bathroom/getting food until minions spawn because it shouldn't be a big deal). I can hardly solo defend the buff, and I can't really get mad at them for playing blind pick casually, so you will be receiving my ire.

But in ranked, there is no limit to tryharding so go for it.

It is not poor sportsmanship, but it is easy to defend against and carries some potentially high penalties if you fail. If you're unable to get a kill or a steal, now your jungler has to start at their buff late and without a leash. That makes it fairly easy for the enemy jungler to take advantage of them and try killing them at their second buff, or simply clearing faster than them and getting off ganks sooner. The laners also show up late to lane, potentially with damage on them or summoner spells blown. If the enemy team is prepared to take advantage of the imbalance, coming to lane even 15 seconds late can spell doom at higher levels of play.

Free trinkets and smart positioning make it very easy to spot the enemy team as they come in to invade the first buff. It's good if you do pull it off but you can screw yourself if you commit and fail.

Good point.. We havent failed yet.. but then again I guess im not playing what is considered high level competition. The most recent time we almost lost it... because after we rushed the jungler before minions spawned and stole their buff.. Their whole team swarmed on us AND they had Hermendinger placing turrets in our exit lanes making it a close call.. but we made it out barely and with a huge advantage. Its really good if the team isnt expecting it.

Honestly I don't see people ever really getting mad about it. I've given up a lot of early FB from facechecking the tri-brush on blue side bot lane and dying or getting blitz pulled. Rarely do I ever have a teammate rage about it. Usually it sucks, but in the grand scheme it doesn't give that much gold when its really early. Its roughly about 2 pots worth for an assist which by no means is nothing, but that is only a temporary advantage. Its not like an item like another dorans or longsword/amp tomb.

Personally the only times that early FB matters is when the team itself is already bad. While the buff could hurt a lot many times I'm in positions to stop invades or make sure we know where you are coming from before you get there. So its high risk high reward really since a smart team would steal your buff if you didn't kill the jungler and most people should ward that area either way after the invade.

Alright so I'm a diamond 3 ADC and I know how level 1 teamfights are. When you have a strong lvl 1 teamfight, u should look to invade. It gives you a good chance for some easy kills and potentially denying the enemy jungler a buff. If you time a late invade, you can potentially set behind both the jungler and the enemy laners that get dmg'd from the invade (they'll come to lane with lower hp or be forced to recall). Having a blitzcrank is always an indicator that theres a high chance for an invade. Generally, you want to have the champion with the hard CC to lead the invade; they'll be able to immediately engage on the enemy on sight with their cc, providing your teammates with enough time to follow up and engage.

Now I've mentioned good times to do an invade on the enemy jjungle but what about bad times or times where the invade can fail horribly? You do not want to do an invade on the enemy when your level 1 teamfight is much weaker. If you don't have vision out, you won't know if the enemy is also doing an invade on you so a potential worse cast scenario here is that you invade the enemy jungle but u dont see anyone so your team decides to go back into their jungle. The enemy team warded your jungle and they were hiding in one of the bushes near your buff and they force a lvl 1 teamfight on you when they have the better positioning and vision for the fight. Likewise, if the enemy team goes for the counterinvade and camps a brush that your team facechecks into, your team is at a disadvantage and can easy the lose the fight. **Level 1 vision is super important **and your team needs to be grouped and positioned properly for the invade.

The level 1 invade is a good idea in general but you should understand how execute it properly and what potential dangers you can face if you commit to it.
