PSA: Pro Tip - What it means to "carry" your team.

The carry of your team is the person who did the most damage, not the person with the most kills.

APC (ability power carry) is the champion who does the most ability power damage to enemy champions.

ADC (attack damage carry) is the champion who does the most attack damage to enemy champions.

The overall carry has to be on the winning team and has the most overall damage output to enemy champions. MVP = greatest average champion/structure (turrets, inhibitors) damage.

Not the asshole who has 35+ kills and stopped his team from getting fed.

No to carry a game means just that. If leona lands a 5 man stun and that wins the fight EVERY TIME then leona is carrying. If Udyr took 8 towers and Nexus then obviously he's carrying, Damage doesn't mean much when you don't have a base (Or people alive for that matter).

Objectives > Everything else. In the end the team that blows up the others nexus wins, Which means even if your whole team has 500 kills and did 1 million damage you lose.

Read what i posted again, Let me know when you figure that out.

Not always true, That jungler that came into your lane, Scaring the other laner into you. He/She didn't get a assist for it, There are a lot more factors then stats, Taking the crab in river so you get the timer on dragon, Honestly i'm glad they finally show "How many wards" Someone placed over a match. You seems quiet focused on damage, What about that cait ult you got off because of a ward, That you didn't place.

THERE ARE A LOT OF FACTORS IN A GAME, STATS DON'T TELL YOU EVERYTHING.

Touché . I can't argue with that at all.

A lot of huge factors aren't measurable.

I guess my motive for making this post shall clear things up. I was playing ARAM as Renekton and we started out losing horribly. Lost 2 turrets and inhibitor while enemy had full lane. The Fiddlesticks made the comment "I can't carry this noon team to victory." To which I replied "you haven't done anything outside of ultimate and Zhonyas to clean up team fights." He had a ridiculous amount of kills, carrying our team. When in reality all the work was being done by Sivir and me. We came back and won, but he insisted that he "carried" our team.

I agree with you it's annoying with that one person who was cleaning up kills is saying they are they best and they just cannot carry "This noob team" But the best thing you can do is just mute them. Don't reply, Or rather just agree "Yeah you're right, Sorry i'm doing so bad" This makes them feel better about themselfs. Takes the edge off the rage, Improves said ragers gameplay and they might even stop harrassing teammates. (Which in turn helps the teams gameplay.)

I'm a support player though, So typically i don't have many (If any at all) Kills, And those kinds of talks come up ALOT. "Noob support 1/9" They like to forget those 29 assists.

In fact in one of my recent games i had a Kalista that had to back every min or so because she kept letting cait qs hit. Along with taking free autos. i couldn't bring myself to point this out till after the game was over. (Mostly because i was pissed and raging on the inside.) I suggested she try out Kali in normals before ranked. And that if it made her feel better then sure blame me. Both teams were laughing because they knew it was true, And i didn't have to freak out IN GAME (That's key) To get that point across.

or when they yell at us for not having farm bc we got item 3301 or item 3303 Like, do they want us to take their farm?

wat of assassins who carry games simply by wiping out their carries Who rack up shit tons of kills while dealing less damage. by less damage, I mean they actually kill their target as opposed to someone else who spend 2 minutes bothering the other guy and may not actually getting a kill

As Ziggs, my damage far exceeds my team just cuz it's all AoE doesnt really mean i accomplished much, not that i felt team fights still lost lol

I can come in with Wukong having no AD at all and get 4 pentakills in a match using my R on low health champs every time. Doesn't mean I carried the game.

You and the other guy who commented aren't comprehending what I typed at all.

The match carrier is the guy with the highest avg champ/structure damage. I clearly stated that in my post and their are no edits. You guys really need to read the whole post before comment lol

Let's talk about your Ziggs. Do you think it be impossible for the assassin to come clean up the enemy ADC/APC without you doing the damage you did? The assassin can kill the whole enemy team after he eliminates other assassin/marksman/(ad)(ap)carry, but is it not true he'd instantly die if he did it while their health is above 50%? Keep in mind assassins die with 1 hard CC.

You go ahead and keep thinking damage is the only way to carry anything. I'm sure tanks that peeled for you, Supports that peeled for you, The many many wards on the map, And a immense amount of other factors have nothing to do with a win.

You know what, Go ahead and play a game as a support without a sightstone. Go full damage It's sure to get more damage to champions/Structures. You should win right?
