Bought Shen. Now what?

Hey there, a tired Master Fledgling here.

I bought Shen and he's lots of fun, but how best do I abuse the elite status of being a ninja? He can Support and Jungle so that's all I can really ask for, and I can build him full tank and still do damage.

One problem in particular I am running into is when I go to teleport in and help someone, I am not sure what to do with my screen: watch that area, watch me, lock it, unlock it ... then I am surprised when I am there and take a second to react. Is it all practice or...?

Thanks,

-MF Shen

If you're top, watch bot (or wherever you're ulting) and press spacebar (center camera) if your screen tints red (on the border) meaning you got attacked. If unhindered, proceed to taunt enemy, save lives, net kills, and TP back to to farm (or b, buy then tp).

If you know you are safe while you ultimate then watch your target and hold space to center camera. It really is a lot about practice.

I love she too and have played him top/jungle/support, sadly he is outclassed by a lot of Champs nowadays in damage and utility. I would honestly wait until the rework that is coming his way soon

I love him, but others do his job better :'C rip flippin' ninja.

All practice. I play shen support a ton with my buddy who's a godly ADC. What I do when teleporting:

-Lock screen on the ally you TP to (click his portrait on his square, or the F keys (F1, F2, F3, F4)

-Get ready to cast e

-Unleash hell.

I personally build him with Zhonya's, Rylais, BORK, Sightstone, Face of the Mountain, Ninja Tabi with warriors. His ulti scales with AP, and a lot of my games, I switch out BORK and FOTM for Rabadons and used to switch for DFG... Now it's a utility slot, depending on whatevers going on. Zeke's and Locket are never a bad idea.

Oh yeah, in laning phase:

Relic shield +4>Targon>T2 Boots>FOTM>Zhonya/Rylai (If it's a passive lane, Rylai. If aggressive, Zhonya.) is my build order every time. Absorb lots of damage, heal from passive and Q, ALWAYS Q siege minion and let ADC heal.

As I first said: Practice. Shen support isn't that great of a SoloQ pick IMO, but duo, with someone who's used to it, it can be a game-winning pick.
