Is it a good idea to Main Support from Unranked?

I feel really comftorable with the support role, I find it to be the easiest for me.

Anyhow, is support a good role for someone who will be starting ranked play? I'm not yet level 30, but I feel like it'll be a comfort role for me.

Would it be bad to spam this role for unranked? once I hit 30 of course.

I'd honestly recommend playing them all.

But overall I'd say no. As a support you don't really learn to CS. One of the most important things for a lanner.

If you want to play it go ahead. But you'll want an understand of the other lane mechanics.

Firstly, it is highly recommended not to play ranked immediately upon hitting level 30.

Secondly, from one support main to another, you should get experience playing other roles. Doing so will give you a better mind set of what the enemy champions will want to do, what they are capable of doing and what situations they are bad at handling. I wouldn't play ranked until you have played at least 100+ champs. But if you can play every champ a few times just to get a feel for what they do, even if its just bots. Then you can at least attempt ranked and not be awestruck about what unknown champs do.

You need at least 1 other spot where you can go. Make sure you're comfortable in more than one role before you start ranked.

If you support, you pretty much get instant ques with team builder.

First, you need to realize you won't always get to support. You need to know how to play the other roles at a reasonable level because you WILL have to play them. Also, a good support player needs more knowledge of the game than just bot lane.

Now to answer your question, is support good for someone starting ranked play? Simply put, no. Your ADC will probably be below average, and you will be wasting effort trying to support them. The exception is if you play kill-focused supports like Annie, who can carry the entire lane by themselves.

Can you do it? Yeah; it will just take you longer to climb up ranks if that's what you're trying to do.
