Ekko Jungle Guide

Okay so I've officially tried Ekko in every lane, and surprisingly he is a versatile champion regardless of build restrictions. So a lot of people have been struggling with Ekko in the jungle due to his kit being focused around high burst rotations with fairly decent cool downs, but I found a way around this. I'm lvl 12 currently, so I don't have full runes and masteries, but I've actually done really well in the jungle so far.

For Masteries go typical ap jungle masteries. For summoner spells take Barrier summoner 21 - This is key because it will allow you to survive early invades, and if you struggle you have the ability to fall back without worrying about dieing. Smite summoner 11 - This one is more obvious

Items (Make sure to buy 2-3 blue pots when you have red buff one, and 1-2 health pots when you have blue buff on) (Take 1 health pot and 2 mana pots when ganking) ****Ekko is a mana heavy champion

Hunters Trailblazer - item 3724 - This is a great items to get after clearing 3 camps. This item gives Ekko both sustain and syncs well with his W in the jungle.

Sapphire Crystal -> Spell Sword -> Finish Lich Bane item 3100 - This is a core item for Ekko gives both mana and movement.

Ionian Boots or Berserkers graves item 3158 - I prefer Ionian Boots cause with blue buff you can spam your Q and E. Also the lower cooldown on your ult makes it easy to go all in with a quick escape ready. However, going with Berserker Graves is a valid option for clear speed and using Ekko's Passive more effectively.

Aether Wisp -> Needlessly Large Rod -> Ludens Echo item 3285 - Damage Spike

Nashors Tooth item 3115 - optional, but recommend

Thats the Core build. Anything After this is up to you. I recommend getting Deathcap and possibly something to get a bit sustain.

Skills: Q - Get Q second and Max first W - Start With W - Max Last E - Get E Third and Max Second R - Level Ult when ever possible

Skill Combo to Clear Camps - Early game

W -> the Camp your trying to clear this way you get a fairly decent stun and shield. You'll still need a leash for the first camp*** Also make sure to smite when the jungle creep is at half health cause the passive on Ekko's W will allow him to deal 5% of max health as magic damage. This will proc quicker this way.

Once you get all 3 skills and hunters trailblazer

Start with W -> use Q and then E right after -> immediately use Hunters Trailblazer Smite for increased stun duration and repeat rotation.

Jungle Path - (Gank on your own accord)

Ekko should start Golems to get blue buff right away. This will allow him to actually clear the first three camps before recalling for items. Then clear Wolves without smite*** save it for gromp. Third Gromp Smite this for magic damage

Recall (you'll only do this early game until you get trailblazer)

Krugs Smite this for stun Lizards - Red Buff Raptors - ** Optional Smite (recommended if your planning on ganking)**

***I'm sure you all might have noticed I didn't include dragon, and this is because Ekko can't solo dragon for his life. It's important for allies to help him to get it. Just remember to ward it when you go bot

Last tips: ** Pink wards are friends buy them occasionally** ** Don't run if you get invaded you have barrier and burst kit so fight back** ** Don't feel pressured to gank early if don't have build, make up for it late game** ** If you cant get kills, help push lanes. Use your E to hit turrets for a large amount of damage (also helps to have Krugs)**

Mind if I chip in?

I prefer summoner 4 summoner 11

I used to take item 3713 but when I got confident with Ekko's clears I went item 3706 smite. I used to take W, but the shield is pointless if it lasts shorter than the stun. Take Q first for a bit faster clears, then W.

My preferred masteries are 21/9/0 with attack speed, not 5% cooldown reduction. I go full attack speed marks and quints (I'll explain in a bit).

I enjoy the build item 3027 item 3708 item 3020 item 3157 item 3001 and one last item up to you (Nashors or Lichbane). This is personal preference, as I enjoy bruiser builds where I can last in a fight and help my team and not 100-0 someone with full AP mobility bullshit. I go full attack speed marks/quints because with this build, after a couple levels I have 1 auto a second which is enough for the average 3 second Ekko combo that bruiser Ekko can survive.
