I'm going to tell you the truth about ELO

I've been noticing something, and that is that people do not understand what works for some people may not work for others in elo. Please don't down vote me unless you truly read everything.

First of all, getting pissed and yelling at your team mates doesn't actually make your team do worse. A lot of the times, it actually makes them play better, especially in low elo, where everyone has low apm, and is playing "for fun". Being a bully to both your own team and the enemy team will gain you respect. This seriously will help you climb.

Secondly, you should be really pumped when you play this game. I recommend having a testosterone supplement if you want to play well. Caffeine also works for me. I know several diamond players who do very well, and are extremely angry people. This is because they have extremely high test, I can assure you. I can not emphasize enough how important it is to have adrenaline and test while u play. I notice I do very well when I purposely do not masturbate or have sex, and when I am on some kind of drug which gives me energy, such as heavy doses of caffeine. Lastly, I recommend finding something that makes you very angry, and using it to your advantage while you play. For me, it is probably that I am ugly and don't have a lot of money. When I think about these things while I play, I generally do very well, because it hardens my resolve while I play.

Anyways, I hope this helps some players. I find that this helps me. If you find yourself losing a lot, even though you play smart, this could be your problem.

When playing league, I stream it and watch it again on another monitor so I can get pissed off twice at teh same thing. Works like a charm.

Well, this was an interesting read for me. Everything you described as helpful actually makes my play worse. When I'm interested in competition and seeing what the extent of my abilities are I prefer to be as calm as possible. To me anger is the fuel behind tilting, so I try to keep my mind as unclouded as possible.

Similarly I find people who use anger as a crutch to be the most annoying allies on the planet. I do not respect them for yelling at me, and because of their anger I rarely trust their long term decision making ability. You can have as much resolve as you want, if you're not seeing things clearly you will be more prone to making mistakes. Luckily there's a mute button, so their angry shenanigans won't prevent me from playing at my best.

That's not to say I don't find players like this useful. Angry players are some of the best strangers to follow into an impromptu fight. As I said before I don't trust their long term decision making, however when it comes to a split second decision I'll trust them every time. It's particularly good if they are playing a champion with the ability to shape a battle and engage on an enemy mistake.

I'll be the guy pointing out baron or dragon timers a minute before they come up, calling for rotations, and calling for an early retreat if we've overstayed our welcome, however when the angry guy goes in I follow up to the best of my ability, even if it runs contrary to what I'm thinking at the time.

They are two very different playstyles, however they also work very well together. That is if you don't actually follow your first point, which is honestly the stupidest thing you can possibly do in a ranked match. Sure it can get results, but no one will respect you for it. You will earn the hate of your allies and probably a few reports for negative attitude afterward.

And no they don't need to grow a thicker skin. What you've stated in point one is the literal definition of a negative attitude.
