Help with Rengar

So ive been dying to try out Rengar jungle and i just recently purchased him, after first playing a bot game and then trying him out in normal (blind pick) i realized im awful with him. I know hes a tough champion to do well with because of his combos, but does anyone have any tips to help me get better at him quicker? (Other than obviously playing a bunch of games :P) Thanks in advance ^.^

Also if anyone has a really good guide for him, id appreciate it if youd share it. Ive been looking for one and cant find any that are updated and in depth.

im not a great player but when jungling at 5 stacks of fury use your w for health, itll help you sustain better while jungling and really helps early

No. Exactly don't use empowered W. Allways go for emp Q it makes your claer FASTER which is what u need for lvl6. On a sidenote tho i'd play him toplane first, he is a lot better toplaner. You can also try him first with a item 3071 +fulltank build with W max until u get used to him.

I'm a big fan of Rengar. I'll help, but you're going to need to let me know what exactly you need help with.

If you're looking for a guide, I'd say to not worry about finding one that's up to date. The most important part of playing a champion is actually playing a champion. Many guides, even out of date ones, have very detailed sections dedicated to outlining what you should be doing and how you should be doing it.

While not all of these are jungle guides, they're all guides that will give you a more in depth look at Rengar and how he can be played. If I had to give you a recommendation for video guides, try out Pants are Dragon's channel on YouTube. He does a lot of Rengar games dating back to last season.

Basic Tips as Rengar Jungle

Once you hit level 6, start looking around the map for a lot of wards. If Rengar is tracked around his jungle, it'll be very hard to successfully gank if the enemy has constant tabs on where you are.
Consider buying tank earlier than damage. Unless you get super fed really early, buy tank items early, maybe just one or two, so you can get a better sustain in the jungle.
Get Scuttle Crab as often as you can. This is a normal jungle priority anyway, but it is especially important on Rengar because it will help you stack your ferocity right as you go for a gank.
If you are about to gank, use your W ferocity, charge your ferocity on scuttle crab, then gank. It is best to gank with a lot of health and ferocity.

Couple of things to understand about Rengar and ill paraphrase

Ganks: benefits from lane ganks because of the ability to get in the bushes (so he benefits more from pushed lanes than other jgs). This is usually for no ult ganks though

Your burst: Your burst is your double Q. As in if you dont have full ferocity you probably shouldnt gank. Going in with full ferocity lets you Q with the bonus damage, Q again with your normal Q, and, if you have your ult, Q AGAIN for the empowered bonus damage Q. That three Q's in like two seconds on top of autos! Thats how you burst with rengar and once I learned that my rengar got much better.
