Help on Climbing Silver

So, as you all know, Season 4 is quickly coming to a close. I was very inactive for a long time during Season 4 and when I started playing ranked again, I was placed in Bronze II but managed to climb up to Silver V in a couple days. I need to know if it's even worth my time and frustrations to attempt getting into Gold before the season ends in about 7 days... I really would love to have the Victorious Morgana skin, but it seems extremely unlikely to get into Gold before...

Should I even attempt it? I do a fairly decent job of carrying myself, but I don't think I'll be able to do it in 7 days. I really would love to have some input on if you guys think I can climb into Gold in that short of time, and if so then I would love some advice on how. Thank you!

It is possible if your skill level is Gold, and very easy if your skill level is Platinum. If you don't have much experience playing at a Silver+ level, it will be a huge struggle to race through Silver and into Gold V.

It's very important that you remember this: individual wins and losses do not mean a whole lot. Losing a single game that wasn't your fault does not mean that the system is rigged or poorly designed. You're bound to lose some games even if you're really good. Getting through Silver can be done in one day if you're Nightblue3 or Boxbox, but more likely you're going to win no more than 60-70% of your games which means you'll have to play a lot to reach your goal. It is to your advantage to focus on what you're doing wrong so that you can correct it in a hurry, rather than focusing on what your teammates are doing wrong.

I will be on stream in about an hour; if you want, stop by and I will spectate you to see if there's any specific advice I can give you. Good luck!

As long as you're not risking losing silver, there's little downside to trying (unless you're quitting your job or something silly).

My guide I wrote up after I hit gold. I'm plat now, and it's still relevant.
