marks armor pen or flat ad
i was wondering which one to go with in what situation currently i run flat ad but im thinking if i run armor pen it would be better when i played graves or urgot or top lane ad champs any thoughts?

AD is best very early in the game. For several reasons. First, early on AD contributes more damage than armor pen does on your auto attacks. It also helps you last hit easier because minions have no armor. Armor pen stat on your character will not have any effect after 0 armor.
Armor penetration generally scales better than flat AD though. When you rank your abilities up you get more base damage and armor pen helps that. When you buy last whisper the flat armor pen synergizes with % pen because the game subtracts the flat armor after the % pen.
Armor pen isn't used very often because most people rune the best early game possible. However armor pen is pretty good on physical damage dealers that are aggressive with high base damages on their spells.
Armor penetration is most commonly used on AD assassins like Zed or Talon
It depends who you're up against. If you're against a tanky lane, I'd think armor pen would be a better start. Otherwise, AD.
I mean, at the start of a game, people don't have much armor to warrant early penetration. But if it's a tank, I think it's more beneficial since you're getting extra damage rather than losing some.
Although, I'm Bronze 2, so don't take what I say very seriously. I'm just using whatever logic I think is correct.
