Support - I NEED HELP!!!

So, maybe two weeks ago I went into a 8 game winning streak by playing support only (one game with top Maokai) and got Gold II, but now everything goes wrong. I just feels like I don't have much an impact on the game. I don't know if I should roam more (Leona main), if I should be more passive, I just don't know what to do when the team falls early game... I really want to get Platinum V, I just need some tips on how to ''carry'', or at least feel useful, a game by supporting. Thank you

I tend to stick with the adc, peeling, tanking, and warding for them after lane phase. No one wants to face a Leona and a fed adc because of all of the stuns. In team fights I protect the adc has much as possible.

Not sure if this is the best idea but if the adc is terrible, I go support the most fed member on the team.

I'm not the best support, but I do the best that I can.
