I need Jinx Help

Lately, my Jinx play has been very off and I am not able to preform the best. I used to be able to nuke everything in sight. Now enemies are getting away with slivers of health. Also, I find my self getting completely dove upon by the enemy team, even their adc is running past our tanks to get me. So I feel some of it is my positioning. When I am able to stay safe and fire rockets off in a fight, I don't get much because i end up like 1/3 and can't secure any kills and then if I try to farm my team jumps into another fight. I also feel some of the issue with my Jinx play has come from not playing her in a few days. I didn't think my skill level with her would drop that drastically if I took a break and played other adcs. If Someone could chime in with ideas of how to get back on my feet with Jinx I would love it.

I look at Jinx (and tend to play her) as a clean up ADC. I hang out in the back of the team, shoot rockets when I'm in range and try and get some Zaps off. Then I wait for my team to get someone low or for everyone to cluster together and then pick off everyone that's left over.

I mean Jinx is really good at killing enemies if she has the chance, but everyone knows that and will try to take her out before she can do that (which is probably why the enemy dives you so hard). So I suggest keeping further back and just picking at the enemies until you can go on a passive fuel clean up kill spree. It's not the end of the world of someone gets away with a sliver of health, just send a rocket in the direction, and even if it doesn't hit, it show that you're gunning for them and it'll make them think twice about where they try to run to.

But honestly, you're probably just derusting from the break. It'll come back to you with a little more time.

i agree with panabro. the great thing about jinx is her ability to have a high damage output. the problem is her lack of escape and maneuverability without her passive up. Best way to play in team fights is to always stick in the back. If your front line decides to dive and you're separated by an enemy between you two, make sure that they aren't trying to chase you down. Don't ever, i mean ever, lock onto a single target and chase them through a fight. Even if someone is low. I see this mistake with adcs happen too much. They lock onto a low target and walk through two full health tanks and get shredded. Remember your role as an adc, damage. If you're dead, there is no damage. The adc who stays in the fight the longest and gets the most free damage off is usually the one that wins. This goes for most adcs, your job is to just keep the dps high, which entails just sitting in the back and doing damage without getting caught. If someone is trying to get between you and your front line, back off. I mean straight up put as much distance between you two before you decide to come back in the fight.

I cannot stress how important it is for you to get free damage off. Even if you're only hitting a tank, you need to continuously hit something until your next target comes up. I like to play adc by one rule. Hit the closest thing to me. Hopefully that helps!
