I LOVE TALON LONG TIME!
Ignore all my other post bitching about Talon no longer having a silence, being a champion with mana (even though none of his skills really seem magical lol), and having a weak laning phase.
My 2 favorite champions are Wukong and Talon. The 1st champions I ever played with when I joined league where Ahri and Riven. I bought Riven 1st, but when Wukong was free to play, but fit my personality better. Problem is, Wukong is a bruiser/fighter. All the advice I had taken from people to be a better melee champ revolved around bruisers and fighters. Wukong, Riven, Darius, Lee Sin, Yorick, Xin, Pantheon, Jarvan, Vi.
Just recently it clicked... TALON IS A FUCKING ASSASSIN! He shouldn't be in a fight long enough to benefit from lifesteal, attack speed, trying to critical strike (though I still take infinity edge if I'm fed enough) or defensive items.
What does this mean? A fight with Talon shouldn't last longer than 3 seconds. So far, this new mentality has been highly effective and I've been dominating matches!
How do I build now? Full out attack masteries. 19 armor pen from runes. Youmuu's Ghostblade, shoes of swiftness, Brutalizer, last whisper, brutalizer into black cleaver, shoes of swiftness into alacrity, infinity edge (then I take a hydra to split push lanes and a blood thirster so overheal gives me a small shield in teamfights).
I've taken out full tank Rammus, Nasus, Shen, Alistar, Jarvan and Volibear with this build. I'm talking Thornmail, Sunfire Cape and Raduin's Omen completely shredded!
I even found out how easy it is to kill Zed if you wait for him to use his ultimate 1st.
I proc my Q about 1 - 2 seconds before I use my E, the procc'd q instantly hits after E, use your W, then immediately press R. Right click your target after R to bring blades back ASAP. Target destroyed in less than 3 seconds after engagement. That's when boots of swiftness with alacrity becomes handy for a quick escape!
Hope this helps you guys. It's worked wonders for me.
