What is the number in the parenthesis?: Janna shield gives 50 AD (+10)

I don't quite understand the parenthesis. Does it mean that the amount of AD given was originally 40, but 10 was added to it? Or does it mean that it's a total of 60 AD?

It is a bonus given by a ratio of your AP. Unfortunately, the existing in game tooltips don't tell you what that ratio is, you pretty much have to look it up online.

It's added to the 50 to get 60. It's scaling from a stat. AD scaling: Orange AP scaling: Green Health scaling: Red Armor scaling: Yellow Magic Resist scaling: Purple Mana scaling: Blue Level scaling: White (or sometimes unmarked)

the base number is the base skill the +10 is the scaling or increase to it from stats, if it is green it gets increased by a portion of your AP if it is orange it increases based on your ad, if it is red it increases based on your HP, and if it is blue it increases based on your mana
