How does one determine which champion is good for various tasks/team comps? I know there is the Wikia and YouTube along with other resources like that but I'm assuming there is an easier way to do this and I'm hoping for some tips and tricks regarding how this is done. Can you guys walk me through what you would do via example by down Sivir and Tristana, determining which champion is better for which task? I'd appreciate it and look forward to reading your posts!

Well for a start, you can figure out a champion's individual strengths by comparing them to other champions similar to them.

I've done this with Kindred, Sejuani, and Azir.

Of course though, you can also give a simple look over a champion's stats, and it will give you a decent idea of what to do with them. For example, if a champion has a lot of %Current or %Max health damage, they're usually good to pick into tankier team comps. Generally speaking, flat values are strong against weak enemies and % values are strong against stronger enemies. (% Armor Pen vs flat penetration, Crit Chance and Attack Speed vs Attack Damage, etc.)

if you solo Q don't be to worried about team comps just take a champ or 2 in every role and learn everything about the champs and also how to play against counter lanes teamcomps are good for premade teams but solo Q especially gold or lower don't wheigt heavy that way

It's extremely hard to tell you everything about champions....do you have any more specific questions that may be answerable and then you can start to see the patterns in play styles between different champs and start to answer the questions yourself
