Nocturne Support? (Blocking hooks by day, farming minion waves when no-one is looking.)

Nocturne. Behave.

Nocturne's pretty cool in my mind. He's Batman and the Walrider's baby, but no one is willing to admit it. (Needs more Batarangs) I have some how saved up 4800 IP without binge spending on champs I will ultimately play once and now am shopping for a champ that can fit my support jungle top main stays. With great success with Gangplank support because he can swagger his way out of thresh hooks and bindings, doesn't that automatically make Nocturne a possible support with his spell shield? He takes it a step further, and can block blitz hooks as well, which happen too fast for me to cleanse.

The list of things that make him viable in my mind are:

Sustain Free damage from abilities Hard CC Spell Shield to block

Sustain

Soraka Sona does it better, at least being able to heal their partner too.

Free damage from abilities

Kinda agree his abilities could prove to be annoying, but it only comes with his Q, unless if you're able to land a few AA while standing on your Dark Path.

Hard CC

He has only 1 CC, and Fiddlesticks does it 2 times better.

Spell Shield to block

Champs like Thresh Leona can still pull themselves to you despite having their damage/CC blocked, and still be able to dish out their full CC combo

Here's my main problem with going nocture: he's melee. He won't have much pressure during the laning phase. You'll notice that most support are ranged and will severally punish you because of the range difference. Now let's look at three other melee supports and notice something that they have in common. Alistar Nautilus and Braum . These work because they are tanky cc machines. All they need to do is buy item 3302 , and then bring out the lawn chairs since all they need to do is use their charges to keep their adc healthy and get them gold for tankiness. Nocturne on the other hand is useless without gold, and only has his ultimate to really justify him even being considered for the role (because of the map pressure).
