Runes and Masteries advice

I'm working on my runes pages and mastery pages, and I'm wondering how I should be organizing them. For runes, I have a general AP and a general AD page, but I'm not sure what would be best to get on them that would be best for all AP and AD champs. As for masteries, should I be making one per champ, or should I generalize them more? (Like, one for a lot of utility or cooldown, one for tanky champs, one for damage, etc) Any advice would be great :)

Phreak has posted some useful videos on youtube that explain the whole thought process behind them, both for people with lots of IP for runes and new players who can only get 2 pages.

For the first 2 rune pages you'll want armor seals and mr glyphs. They're at least somewhat useful on every champ but they're vital for junglers and in the case of mr glyphs, vital against leblanc. For the AD page you can get flat AD marks/quints or AD marks and AS quints. For the AP page you'll want magic pen marks and AP quints.

For my AD Rune page I use 9x Attack Damage Marks (Useful for last hitting minions early game) 9x Scaling Health Seals (You lose 4 AD for 216 extra health at lv 18) 1x Attack Damage Quint, 2x Armor Quint 3x Magic Resist Glyphs, 6x Cooldown Reduction Glyphs (You can run 9x Magic Resist Glyphs)
