Baron Fights

Please for the love of god if you ace the enemy team and they have 60s timers. Just end the game. Don't take baron, Just please end the end. Just lost a game because my team decided to take baron even though the enemy only had sivir left and we still had 4 people.

Wrong. Sorry but I am a diamond 4 adc player who has experienced alot of mid-late game-deciding decisions and "ending the game" when the enemy team is mostly dead with 60 seconds is heavily dependent on whats happening in the game at the moment. Do you have super minions pushing into your base from all 3 lanes? Do you have a minion wave to push into their turrets when ur team comp is squishy or lacks quick turret sieging ability? Are all outer turrets still alive on the enemy team? You're not going to be able to end the game all the time in that situation and whats more is that if you overstay to try to "end" the game, you end up having a team of low-mid hp allies with their ults on cooldown that are an easy kill since the enemy team is in their base and can easily heal up from fountain. Sometimes, its better just to take baron because in taking baron, you can use the buff to take more objectives. Don't blindly do something. Think about what your team can do to ensure you the win considering what advantages u currently have on the map and for how long.

not once have i ever felt like the baron buff won us the game... :l it's more like winning was always possible but we needed the placebo baron buff to boost our confidence

I'm a personal fan of either taking Baron as a means to break through to an inhibitor, if we have stronger teamfighting but can't safely dive, or after the third inhibitor goes down in order to ensure that even if we go 3 for 2 in the fight at their nexus the survivors just need to juke and stay alive long enough for the minions to win.

When using it to end the game, it's more of a security policy than anything else. Like elixirs -- we might be ahead, but the buff from those is still nice to have. Same goes for Baron and 5th Dragon. If you can safely get either of those, you probably didn't need them in the first place, but if you can stack advantages why wouldn't you?
