Back when I used to play Fizz in S3 it was no question that Fizz was AP only however now after his nerfs and changed I hear people say hes becoming much better at AD, so which is it? Is Fizz AD better than Fizz AP, or does AP still give AD a run for the money?

"Better" is the wrong term.
AP Fizz and AD Fizz do two entirely different jobs. AP Fizz relies on burst and is phenomenal at killing squishes. AD Fizz on the other hand, albeit slower, is pretty good at killing everyone with his DPS based damage.
So if you wanted to get really good with Fizz and sue him to snowball a team would you choose AD or AP?
