Ranked and LP

why is ranked based on LP, in the past 6 games ive won my lane 4 of those games i had half my team kills and had a positive kda im currently sliver5 and i started with 80lp today and lost all of it why is LP based on team win instead of individual skill i can win my lane i can play from behind but i cant beat an entire team 1v5 every ranked game ive played today my team was behind while i was ahead i played ap and ad kog pantheon vi nid and graves and it doesnt matter if im inhead or not i cant win a single game can i get some help, im frustrated to the point where i dont even wanna play league anymore.

"why is it based on team win instead of individual skill" because league is a 5v5 game, not a 1v1 game

if you're individually a better player than your opponents, then you're eventually going to win more games than you lose and climb

if you aren't climbing then i'm sorry - you're just not as good as you think you are

"It's a team game" doesn't really explain it;

Your personal contribution doesn't determine your rank for a very good reason. Imagine for a second that it did. Players would;

Play the match with only their own score in mind
Farm CS and kill steal as much as possible
Run away from every teamfight that didn't look like a clean Ace, so they don't' die

Having personal scores determine your rank would directly cause every match to be complete shit, because players would not care about the team and play selfishly. Solo Queue would be the worst gaming experience you could possibly have.

You aren't winning because you aren't translating your lane dominance into game winning dominance. Also, Pantheon falls off. If you play Nidalee and are snowballing hard, stop grouping, just splitpush with a lich bane. You can double kill with a Nidalee and run away from a 3v1, and if your team can't win a 4v2 on the other side of the map, the game's already too far gone.

Oh so you're expecting to become challenger after being commended for your performance in those 6 games? Get real. This system is more rewarding than the previous system which was based on solely a number you saw, nothing more. Furthermore, its a team game.
