ELO HELL

I AM SICK OF SCRUB ALLIES AND LUCK NOOB DIAMOND SMURF ENEMIES WHO I DOMINATE ANYWAY BECAUSE I HAVE NO FLAWS ITS EVERYONE ELSES FAULT.

But seriously, I'm not in elo hell, I'm probably just resting in Silver 3 because I belong there. For now, anyway. Either way, I would like to know what I am doing wrong whenever I drop a division or simply lose LP.

Sure, my team may feed sometimes, or go even in lane, or even win lane, but no matter the outcome I can quickly see a game go sour and in an enemies favour from what could have been an assured victory. I try to stay as positive as possible in games, despite my frustration at myself and my teammates sometimes. I keep any nasty comments to myself, (I strongly believe they don't help anyone at all) and try to stay focused on the objectives that need taking. I try, when in game to ping objectives, tell my allies to retreat and generally be helpful to my teammates. Whilst they don't always listen, the effort is there right? I mean I win lane a fair amount of the time, and if I don't, I go against my urge to try get a kill or two and farm, under the turret if necessary, to at least avoid feeding if I can't win and try take advantages in the later game or at least wait for a gank.

Whilst I understand I can't win every game, I'm failing to see why so many games go sour. I can't blame my allies all the time because if it's just me that isn't the skrubl0rd, then probability dictates that there are 4 scrubs on my team and 5 on the enemy one, so I should have the upper hand every game. Which isn't the case, clearly, so there must be an explanation. I feel like my weak point is objective control, so I'm probably just throwing my advantage in lane away by not putting enough pressure on the enemy team, or something but I don't know what else to do other than roam more, zone CS and push towers/take drake+baron.

Can anyone help me to gain some insight as to why I can't advance from Silver? If there's any more information you need, I'll try my best to provide it. I main ADC, mostly as Lucian and if I don't get him I usually opt for Jarvan IV top or jungle.

objectives over kills, cs like crazy, poke when you can. get kills or even putting someone very low can often get you something. it's hard to know what you need to work on without being general about it. one thing that helps when in a losing situation is to not give up and give your team time to catch up and win. sometimes it won't help, but it will sometimes and give you a few extra wins.

Hey I'm Nyx. I think the problem is that people, like me, are nervous, or just want to purposefully doom you, (eh hem "trolls") just to see you rage or bring other people down for their gain (somehow?).
I am a strong believer that in ranked people should know how to play every position or at least 3. This is because if you only play a single position if you don't get it you are more likely to feed. I have a friend who only plays top and let's just say they went 2/10/7 when they had to play mid-lane. Also many people should know that the 1st pick should be a role that doesn't matter if it's countered, (eh hem "support"). Maybe boost communication, such as" hey 'insertsummonernamehere' can we switch champions? Say I grab yours, you grab mine can you grab me (insert champ name here)." If they do HUZZAH if they don't its cool but you risk being countered and you can explain that. I would recommend duo-ing because you can switch champions with your duo-partner.
I would also recommend easy to play champions. Also maybe convince your teammates the following if anything is lacking: -Jungler don't forget summoner 11 and buy item 1039 --(If top doesn't need flash or another unnecessary summoner spells) ask them to take teleport. -Make sure that there is either 3ap champs and 2ad champs or 3ad champs and 2ap champions. This is so your opponents don't have to just build armor or magic resist to reduce damage from most(4/5) or all of your team. -Make sure there is tank. The tank can be support, top, or jungle. (Its difficult to be a tank as a midlaner or adc). Suggest that! I have been on so many teams where there is no tank and we either dominate in beginning (which usually doesn't happen) or we get crushed.

Also there is a few Variabes: -willingness to work with the team -communication variables (mood, actually ability to create constructive criticism) -experience -how comfortable someone is with a position I can't think of too many more right now Hopefully I helped! [this is my 3rd time writing this because crashes]

We should duo sometime btw. See you in the league!

geez, thats a terrible way to start a topic I almost stopped reading

I try to carry games as the jungler objectives win games, and as the jungler.. I got nothing better to do than to worry about all the objectives ;/ split pushing carries games really well, imo this gets you developing your map awareness, warding for your own sake cuz ur doing some potentially dangerous stuff, and placing objectives above most things, annnnd of course getting you a gold lead while not feeding the enemy team

Op, Silver 3 here as well. I've spent a lot of time watching the diamond games in the client, and then watching silver games to compare.

The major differences that hinder us in silver are : Little/No teamwork Little/No map awareness Lower CS (damnit, we need money?) Poor warding Poor Decision making.

Sadly, the top two are, for the most part, out of your control. All you can do is try to be there when your allies need you, but you can't force reciprocation.

The other three are (at least in part) under your control.

I'd have to watch a game with you in it for sure (which is fine, if you want to add me!). But I would say maybe get like LOLReplay or a lolking or op.gg replay of several of your games, and just watch yourself. See if you can catch your own mistakes.

But if you're unable to do that, then maybe focus on improving CS, and ensuring you get wards -every- back. Even if that means delaying a back to farm another wave (Safely, of course!) or the wraiths/wolves. And don't forget to pink something crtiical!

Other than that, watch your team, watch their plays, and try to synergize with what they're doing. (STOP JANNA ULTING SOMEONE OUT OF MY TORNADO!!! - Yasuo)

Other than that, for more specific advice, You can add me in client, and I'd be glad to see if I can offer more.
