Tips to Own with JG Ekko

I've been told quite a few times that tanky is the way to go with him. Is there a build to go by that any of you trust? Also, what are some general tips when playing him? General, and detailed, if you can. I always had fun playing him, but it would be nice to get him perfected, or close to that level. I've been out of the game for a few weeks.
