In light of the terrible queue system, I've been wondering if two of my favorite champs could be viable if taken to the top lane. Or any lane, really. I'm a jg main, but obviously with the current queue system, exclusively jungling isn't always an option. So I'm wondering how I could let my favorite champs carry into other lanes with any sort of success.
So for Udyr top your basic options are tiger and phoenix.
Tiger is a great 1v1/duelist path. Generally I like to shoot for 3 damage items and 2 defensive items. Its great against melees and people you don't feel can dominate you in lane.
Your goal should be to get as much ad as possible (maybe 2 finished ad items first) and then defensive stats.
Great items include yoomoos, both hydra items, deaths dance, and triforce.
For phoenix Udyr top, your goal is to farm and get tanky. Movespeed squints,as reds. Full tank, sunfire, IBG. This is better against people who can kite you.
