As a Support: When my ADC is Derping, what do I do?

I use the term derping very sparingly, because 1.) I'm not the best player around, and 2.) Most times folks are just operating under their own set of rules and we're not communicating clearly, but...

What do I do when my ADC is just making terrible calls? Like, as a Braum, if I see my adc chasing the two enemy laners into the river (while my ADC and I both have half health and both of the enemies are fully primed and ready to pwn face), am I supposed to watch my lane-partner get rofl-stomped? Am I supposed to intercede and try to save them, even when they've already proven they'll walk right back into combat after I've already sacrificed myself?

What to do?! I'm going crazy here.

If they refuse to listen to you and keep pushing into dangerous territory and dying, or simply not doing well, you as a support are wasted giving them everything. Roam a little more, take a little CS, play safe yourself even if you have to stand half a lane behind him, and don't be so quick to sacrifice yourself to save him. Support the rest of your team instead of focusing on him. Make sure to use lots of pings to warn him of incoming danger too.

Don't insult him for doing bad though, it never helps.

Roam...if you have a supp with semi carry potential like Morgana and Annie, try to feed yourself.

If they're in the process of making a bad call like that, ping them to back off and DONT go in. If you warn them and they go in anyway, that's on them. Don't get yourself killed too.

Its tough, Ive had ADCS that go in hard everytime and just die and then blame you, even if you tried to save them. Ive also had very passive adcs that just focus on farm and dont even care about getting attacked. What I do is always have open communcation or have someone you know adc (better communicaion)

The fact that 95% of support players are Blitzcrank Thresh Leona tends to breed bad habits, every single ADC wants kill lane. And will play as though it is even with a Soraka or a Lulu support.

Supporting a bad ADC is very annoying, but inevitable. If they are an idiot and you start to lose lane here's what I do.

Step 1: Tell them to play passively and just try to farm up. If you can't fight, farm. Step 2: If they continue to pick fights just ignore them. It's better that they die alone than for you to try to help and end up feeding a double kill. Step 3: Farm whenever they are not in lane. Make yourself as strong as possible. Step 4: If they start getting abusive simply leave lane and go help someone else. I bet the top laner would love someone helping them out. Step 5: If the ADC learns from their mistakes and starts trying to farm again go and help them out. Do your best to keep them alive so they can stay in the game.
