Karthus outside of the mid lane?

Hey there, a sleep Master Fledgling here. Let's make this fast.

I bought Karthus awhile ago and haven't really used him, in part because I am a Jungle/Support main. As such, boy was I said when I tested him for awhile in the new jungle and got my skeletal ass handed to me. In short: Is jungle Karthus still a thing? If so, how does one do it?

Next, does Karthus work as a poke support? Because if not in the jungle, I'd be happy to play him as a support. ... Poking people and what not. Get out of my bot lane.

In the new jungle, I highly doubt Karthus can even clear 2 camps with how the number retuning the jungle got.

And as a support he doesn't really offer much utility. His poke is easily avoidable and short ranged, he needs alot of gold to remain relavent late game where he shines. And a supports gold income isn't really enough to work for him. Other poke supports usually offer utility outside of their poke, usually in forms of hard CC or buffs.

A good example of a poke support is Zilean, good poke, decent CC, and useful utility. All around decent.

Karthus only brings a low damage Q, and his wall for early game utility. And with the walls high CD early game its not really all that effective.

All in all, There are far better options for a support then Karthus.

Hi there , as a person who is a Karthus Main i think karthus can survive in the new jungle... thought it is very harsh on him and i think he really needs rangers trailblazer to survive and id would probbably go the mage inchantment on it. but then id probbably start going the genaric karthus build with Deathcap and voidstaff ect... a big part of karthus damage comes from single target Q hits so allways be trying to hit only one target with your Q. your ult at level 1 is pretty minimal beacuse you wont havea ton of ap at the time but it still can deal damage so do be afraid to try to help a fight. with it. your ganks arnt that bad actually when you go to gank put the wall so they have to run into it or directly ontop of them and the proced to lay down the law with your single target Q . for support idk i mean it could work but you would be takeing AGEs to get to where you any other karthus would be at feel free to add me with any further questions.

The key aspect of jungle karthus is having full Spellvamp. get armor and spellvamp runes and take the monsterstunner. ofc the ap enchantement, but yeah, new jungle is harder than the old one. Remember to thank mr skeltat daily for strong bones and good ganks.
