silver gold why are players playing alllllll the time annie (straight dog sheit champion for support) and blitz (only useful if you hit squishys) and lets face it low elo blitz players grab the supports all the time, its like having a useless lane if you want to climb elo play sona soraka thresh nami not useless champs that are only good for one button

coming from a lvl 15, you have no idea what elo even means yet.. blitz is useless during laning phase until he lands a hook, which 95% of the time is an insta kill. Late game he turns games into a 4v5. Annie has so much cc potential, even though her early game is weak, she can carry games by a single ulti... a good support can render any bot lane useless.

I've done fairly well with annie support in silver... I usually only pick her as a counter pick, but she's a great champ. When you can take 80% of their ADC's HP in one full rotation of your spells, and your ult's on an obnoxiously short cooldown. That's pretty OP.

I'd argue blitz is even most effective in low elo. I've smurfed in bronze before and people have no idea how to side step. Its either both summoners burned or a kill. Even if blitz pulls the support (which isn't bad like you suggest, a kill is a kill), low elo adcs don't know that they should be autoing my adc instead of running away with the support, so we still win the trade. Because of blitz has the best picks of any support I really do believe he is the best support to carry low elo games since he takes advantage of the poor positioning. The picks he creates late game turn fights into a 4 v 5.

Besides, blitz's kit is not one button. He can only do one thing (create picks), but the rest of his abilities are so good at either help him get in range of a pick or keep the pulled champion from escaping. Yes his pull is the star of the show, but his kit is not a solo act.

They require more than one button. They're effective in both low and high ELOs for the same reasons that Ahri is.

I still hate having them on the team, though.

Lol@people who think Annie is a bad support because they sit in bush with stun up waiting to combo all the time.

Seriously her combo is four spells. Even at two stacks, you can get her stun off instantly with a combo. Harass with autos and Q's ALL THE TIME shits unavoidable yo. Even low kill potential stuns are free autos for you and your carry and free skillshot landing (jinx never needs to miss a zap)

And blitz is just gonna blitz. People who play good blitz are people who play good Alistar, because blitz is just a slightly shittier version of Ali plus Dat Grab.

If it looks stupid but still plays smart, then it's not stupid. So who cares if people plays Annie?

Just because someone grabs the support, that does mean it is bad. Sometimes taking out the support fast is the better option. Securing a kill is better than nothing.

Example - Say you grab the adc but you couldn't finish the kill, so the support just heals them back up.

Annie's Burst Combo and CC is very effective in lane and in team fights. Early game you can burst the support and adc well below half health and if the adc doesn't finish them off, don't blame the support. The stun time is long enough for you to kill them.

The only problem with Annie and Blitz are player builds. Not all players play the same. So don't judge a Blitz and Annie because of a few players.
