Some Kalista Tips
Hey I am a newly Platinum level player and I have also just recently picked up Kalista I just wanted to share some tips of things I have either found out myself or researched because I hardly see anyone in my friends who are bronze and silver playing her and she is also never in there games.
Kalista is a REALLY strong champion when you play her correctly and I think her mechanics are a bit of a turn off to some of the lower rank or newer players in the game. I am writting this assuming you know what her abilities are btw (so you may want to read them if you don't).
1 - Crit is no good. (not worth)
Crit isn't really a strong stat on Kalista you need atleast 2 items for it to be really worth it on her and one of those items has to be IE which is a lot of gold and she scales much better with attack speed and armor pen. Just think of your self procing your Rend stacks as 1 big crit. So that Frenzy mastery you usually get on ADCs take it off and put it into Fury. Stick with
(there are 2 different ways to go about this build but ill get to it later)
2 - Max W second.
Q base damage is super low it has really good AD scaling so it will be good without points in it but if you get W second you are getting more % Max health off your enemies when you and you support go at them. (Makes the trading in lane easier too)
3 - Auto Attack Move
If you don't know what this is let me tell you. This is a key binding you can find ingame I believe it is defaulted to A but what it does is it moves your champion like right clicking but as soon as an enemy unit is in range you will start to auto attacking. Spamming this key makes it SUPER easy to jump between auto attacks, but remember you will auto the enemy closest to you so I don't recommend using this early unless there are no minions around or you already have runaan's hurricane. (There is a way to bind this to your middle mouse button but I don't remember how, its a process you can google) Practice with this and you will realize the potential Kalista has.
4 - Trading in Lane
This is what makes Kalista such a good laner as you should know your Rend cooldown is refreshed when kill a unit with the Proc. So in lane if you put a rend stack on a minion about to die and your enemy you get a free slow after procing and a reset on rend so you can continue jumping at your enemy for easy trades that are hard to get away from. I can't tell you how many times I've been able to get level 2 or 3 kills using this mechanic in lane.
5 - Your build path
So about your build if on your first back you cant afford
you are going to have to go the
path. Otherwise you can go the
path.
Remember to just get boots when it is reasonable in with both of these build paths (I am confident you guys are smart enough to know this)
Path 1:

Path 2:

Clearly the 5th item is your boots (which you should really trade for
late game because you jump further with boots)
Your last item will probably be one of these defensive items.

Take standard ADC runes. x9 AD marks, x9 Armor seals, x9 Flat MR glyphs, x3 AS Quints
6 - Match ups and Supports
You can take Kalista into most match ups I prefer not to go against
though,
is pretty annoying too.
Great supports with Kalista the top 5 in my opinion ofc are these (in no particular order).
(<<yah they are op)

And honestly I'm kinda tired of typing to explain why I dislike those match ups and enjoy those parings so maybe I'll elaborate later.
These are just the things I have come to know, there are probably Kalista mains that could contradict me but screw those guys Kappa. I hope this helps you guys out. Probably just spewing nonsense to you guys but w/e.
in the matchups to avoid. This Glorious Executioner is going to have
on a spear kebab tonight.
