Are full ad bad late game even with hypercarries?

maokai vs cho
shyvana vs yi vladimir vs yasuo ashe vs jinx
janna vs nautilus

i was janna and we got rekt that game because im silver and everyone decided to counterjungle the enemy in groups of two while they were all mia so that they'd get picked off give the enemy baron at 20 min lol- we also decided to feed jungle yi in the early game as hard as that is to do

but assume we mass bought armor like frozen heart/thornmail/etc. and other items that applied to heavily auto-reliant champs (and went even from early-mid game); would we win late game? like, we had so much cc and survivability/tankiness that our damage sources would be mega protected

are mostly ad/ap damage comps all sucky in the late game if people decide to mass corresponding resist/armor?

Well...first off that shouldn't be a full AD comp as Cho should definitely be AP. They have a really good team comp with synergy with Yasuo on Cho and Naut. If the teams were of 100% equal skill...I would probably give it to the other team honestly. The thing with full AD teams or full AP teams...they aren't bad...as long as you don't get to the late game...that's kind of the point. You need to take them down before the 30-35 minute mark when resistances begin to come into play.

Full ad teams aren't terrible late game as they tend to have a lot of damage (especially against objectives). If you guys had just built armor on your three tanky people, you would have been able to take the late game. Two or three item 3075 vs a full ad comp is devastating.

yes, full AD is always bad even with hyper carries unless the hyper carry is Kog'maw. Armor and attack speed slows are murder on full AD teams.

That said, you weren't up against a full AD team. that would be something like Renekton top Kha'zix jungle, Yasuo mid, Jinx ADC, Thresh bot. Cho deals a ton of true and magic damage, Yi deals a ton of all damage types because of devourer, and Nautilus deal primarily magic damage. Their 2 primary threats may have been AD, but if you stacked armor, the magic and true damage of the rest of their team would have killed you anyway.
