Countering standard hyper carries?

DELETE AKALI PLEASE. Akali

Ehem. Hey there. Master Fledgling here.

Today I request that AKALI BE DELETED -- sorry. Today I'd love advice on how to deal with the standard hyper carries, as often I find that it isn't amazing teamwork that crushes me and my 'team' in solo queue, but some top, mid, jungle or ADC getting super fed and snowballing. I've not seen a support get out of hand yet, but I shudder in anticipation of the day that I go against a 28/1/7 Blitzcrank. The horror.

i digress. Going from the perspective of a Jungler, how might I take care of this nonsense? Is it better to build tanky to fight someone getting scary, or build damage to try and duel them? Also, who might be a good consistent anti-carry jungler? My best junglers (and I'm not very good ... I'll just say it.) Are Fiddlesticks, Malphite, Nunu and Galio, though no one let's me play my favorite Gargoyle ;_; Galio

Thanks, and the deadliest ninja in the one seen in green,

-MF

Don't let them get in that state in the first place.

Roam more and if you see an enemy doing well in lane sit on them hard

Essentially the best thing to do for champions like Fiora, Akali, Riven, etc. is to counter them with your items (such as buying doran's shield to start, building armor if they're AD, etc.) while having the Jungler camp your lane. The snowballer will probably be frustrated to the point of screaming at your Jungler, but that means you can keep them in check. Most of the time playing defensively is your best friend against a hyper carry. While giving them free farm is dangerous, you're not really doing that; you can still poke, but just do so conservatively, when you know they won't jump on you and get a kill. Stay behind minions until your jungler engages, and when he does try your best to kill them. Often times the enemy team's jungler (especially if they have a lot of cc like Sion) will try to get them started, and once they do it's pretty dangerous, so placing vision to counter is usually worth investing gold into wards for. If they come back too strong for this strategy, stay under turret and ask for roams and ganks, or just hold out until you have enough gold for some good items that help you survive.

Going against Akali? Play Kennen.

Hit her with q, and then when she shrouds, just w on her, or e around in the shroud and then w. You'll easily do MUCH more damage between your empowered autos and the proc on them, plus the free damage you get upon stuns that you'll keep pushing her out of lane.

Every single time I've taken Ken against akali, it's been the easiest lane ever. That being said, make sure when you force her out of lane, that you warn your team. If she feeds off the rest of your team, it's pretty worthless to stymie her in lane.

Or, perhaps more easily, just buy item 2043 or item 3364. She can't hide if you have true vision on her. Just to annoy an akali, I normally hide a pink in top bush, or on my side of mid lane, so she knows she can't cs near me without getting super harassed. They tend to play even safer.

Lots of things you can do to counter her, or any champ. Just think of what their weaknesses are, and how to exploit them.
