Ability Level Up Hotkeys

How do you get used to using Control + QWER to level up abilities? I just can't get used to it. It feels unnatural.

It does feel really weird. I've actually been thinking about keybinding leveling up an ability to just the ability key on it's own for more fluidity.

I need to level up mid fight? just double tap Q to rank and then use it.

That said, I don't know if that works, so if you're gonna try that, test it in a bot game or something first.

I have them as F1, F2, F3 and F4. Still easy to reach in a place where it's intuitive enough that I don't have to look at the keyboard to do it.

Try playing Starcraft 2. Its crtl + # keys for your control groups. Meaning a group of units or buildings.

The thing that I really wish they would bring over to League would be the ability to have custom set camera positions like Starcraft 2 does. To set those its crtl+F# keys. Imagine if you could set F1 to center of top lane, F2 to mid, F3 to bot lane, F4 to baron and F5 to dragon and be able to adjust on the fly.

I switched it to Alt + QWER. It makes it a lot more natural. Your thumb is just sitting right there lol.

I started with Ctrl + QWER. I can't get used to clicking the screen. It's just reflex.

An odd binding that I use that works for me is rebinding the level-up hotkeys to ASCV for QWER respectively so that they are at the closest position possible to avoid wasting time resetting the position of my fingers if i level as a fight is breaking out or trading with opponents. Fair warning it takes a little practice to be able to do this without using summoners spells on the fly.

It goes the same for Shift-Smarcast and Alt-Self Target. Get to know your pinky man :P

pay attention to when you click with the mouse and feel stupid every time you do it. It will slowly become an habit.
