My vs allowed my immune to magic damage minion destroy his turrets and allowed me to tank him for an instant kill at level 6, then I steamrolled from there.

Look up a video of Riven soloing baron at lvl 1. People find ways to get gold without xp.

I think it is just worded poorly. I believe Akali rushed the Abyssal so she could all in Heimer. Then later in the game she got the Banner so the turrets could be taken down. At least that is how the order makes sense to me.
