Merxamers2 votesit's perfectly fine- that's what people used to do with Pantheon before Black Cleaver. It helps your early game a ton, which is when he is strongest. If you find yourself getting superfed, maybe you'd want to get Tiamat first?
(Disclaimer- i haven't played lane pantheon in quite a while; play him in the jungle quite a bit though)
