Tips for people asking for tips.

Alright, I started browsing these boards and commenting pretty recently, mostly I hang out here in Tips & Tricks. One of the things I've noticed already is that there a TON of people saying "help, I'm in Bronze/Silver and I'm bad, give tips" with nothing else there, they just want to know how to be good at the game. I'm sure comprehensive guides on general how to play the game exist, you can find them.

If you want jungling tips, or ADC tips, ask for those. If you want to know how to be better with the champ you main, ask about that. I would much rather see a "Silver Zac Jungler looking for tips" With a body about what they normally do in game, pathing and builds, when they gank and whatever other information they can give. It makes it so much easier for the person giving tips to give you the tips you can use ingame if they know what you will know and don't know already. I know it's a bit more work on your part, but it will mean that you can get useful information rather than incredibly broad things you probably already know, or nothing at all.

Personally, if I see someone say "How do I win more?" and that's basically it (comments about your losing streak, or bad teammates mean nothing). I won't be very eager to help out. Whereas if I see I guy say "I start play support recently and am looking for tips, I play Sona" I would love to give him some tips on how to support and specifically how I would build and play Sona.

Thanks for reading this, hopefully someone will see it before they ask for tips and it will help get the tips they could actually use to learn the game and increase their skill and enjoyment of it.

well, I'm bronze. the problem with me is that i cant pinpoint where exactly im bad at. because, with being bronze, you cant say what you are good at without someone being a complete jerk and mocking you about it. For example, if I said my mechanics were great, my decision making was bad, and my mentality was decent. everyone who isn't bronze (heck, even some bronze players) will completely ignore the other two and think I said im a mixture of douiblelift, piglet, and apollo. or they'd say im bad at all of them because im bronze. i ward, even when im adc. my positioning when im adc is godly. but the bronze players assume im running from the fight because im kiting perfectly (or enemies dont know how to focus). i roam as a mid laner when im winning lane. i cs very well (but it falls off late game simply because im worrying about objective control, picks, etc). i peel my adc when im supp, etc. i even keep a positive attitude. I study League probably more than the majority of the community. i watch lcs almost all the time, i check the league website, my pbe, surrender@20, youtube, facebook, twitter, lolesports, an esports app on my phone, league boards, and reddit daily. I check each of these several times a day. im hungry for becoming a better player and climbing out of bronze. yet, for some reason, i just cant seem to climb ranked. I even have situational runes and masteries that I made myself. I even have an LCS Discussion group with several of my bronze and silver friends. I also teach newer players because my advice and knowledge of the game is on point. The only tip that I don't follow is "grind ranked". I can't seem to do that.
