0/17/13 Jungle Tank Masteries?

I've heard people talk about this mastery setup for a while now, but I can't find an example mastery page anywhere.

I'm guessing the 13 utility points will go into Alchemist, Culinary Master and Wealth to provide maximum sustain. Though you miss out on Runic Affinity...

But where exactly do the 17 points in defense go? What's the milestone people try to archive? One point in Legendary Guardian? Or Perseverance -> Second Wind for even more sustain?

Additionally, who is this even good on? I'm guessing tanks who need help surviving the first jungle clear.

I use 0/17/13 on non-traditional junglers that need help, or when I'm looking to just entirely farm the jungle. With the masteries on Rengar, I'm able to farm the jungle indefinitely until I choose to back.

The most important masteries in Utility are Vampirism, Wealth, and Alchemist for the sustain. The most important masteries in Defense are Perseverance and Second Wind, along with the extra 5 armor from Hardiness. You should also take Enchanted Armor, because bonus armor is anything that is not base armor, including masteries and runes.

For an all inclusive mastery page (short of a screen shot), this is what I use:

0/17/13

Defense

Enchanted Armor (2) Tough Skin (2) Bladed Armor (1) Veteran's Scars (3) Juggernaut (1) Hardiness (3) Swiftness (1) Perseverance (3) Second Wind (1)

Utility

Phasewalker (1) Fleet of Foot (3) Summoner's Insight (3) Alchemist (1) Runic Affinity (3) Vampirism (3) Wealth (1)

Examples of Champions that I use this page on

Alistar Evelynn Taric Skarner

Some of these champions have more optimal mastery/rune page combinations, but I can guarantee you that just with this mastery page, you'll have a fairly easy time jungling. Any other questions, feel free to message me.

Personally, that's the setup I use for Soraka. xD

Juggernaut, Armor, reduced damage, swfitness, perseverance, second wind.

Then mana, summoner's insight, scout, and the gold shit.

Not sure how effective this setup would be on tanks at all. You'd probs be better off 0/30/0 or 9/21, maybe 6/23/3 for the extra mana regen

I go 21-3-6 grabbing def vs camps+bladed armor, MS, runic affinity and all that jazz in the utility (this is for "tanks") Build damage do more damage, cc the most fed dood in teamfights. then run away with your killer MS xD Pure-Tank junglers usually suck dick now.
