What do you do as an adc carry when in team fights the enemy front line is too scary to pass

I play blind pick and arams a lot, so I find myself against teams where they have powerful backlines but I have no way to get back there to hit anyone without getting stomped by a bruiser/tank hybrid. I know you should aim for whatever is closest but that seems ineffective when they have mages/assassins that can hit well beyond the front lines and I'm stuck autoing alistair or maokai because I know if I step anywhere near to auto a squishy I will be CC'd and eliminated in an instant.

It's not the ADC's job to dive the backline, usually adc is the only one with enough persistent damage to kill tanks anyways so you should just be attacking whoever you can from a safe distance, which is usually the frontline.

This video tutorial goes over this very thing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Seslk8yUtrc

You attack the front lines.

It's literally the ADC's job: Be the team's tank buster.

The ADC's job is to right click the closest thing available to them. When presented with the option of clicking someone that is more important than a tank (mid / adc) You take it.
