Plat Toplane help - translate a slightly ahead lane into team victory?

So...I'm plat 5ish up to 3 on a good day, but I'm having a lot of trouble. I'm a top main, usually described as "steady"...I really like the lane bully play style, and I'm maining Sion, cho & tanks like maokai. Once in a while I'll play Renekton or a carry like Jax.

But i'm having a ton of trouble - usually I can bully around the lane early, to level 6ish. I draw jungle attention, which can be good, but really early jungle camp just wrecks me (like ganks before 3 mins, or multiple ganks at 7-9 mins). Even so, I almost always go even in a lane, whether ahead or behind. Sometimes I do well, namely on Cho, and get 2-3 kills in lane, but never more. My problem is these tanks really don't do a lot if your allies are behind, and I'm finding it super hard to translate a lead in lane into dragons or towers.

Any help would be appreciated. I have some replays, I started recording about 2 weeks ago.

jungler's normally gank top between 3 and 6 minute mark. just ward at 3 past 8 or 9 minutes feel free to bully your lane because if the enemy jungle shows top ping drag like crazy and just have your team trade you for an objective. You should only make yourself vulnerable to ganks when your team can get something out of you being ganked. Hope that helped.

If the wave is on your side of lane, freeze just outside tower and then back. Also, take my word for this, duoq is really really really bad. Riot will give you retard teammates to compensate for your "communication advantage" and your team will proceed to get picked off during rotations.

If you really want to help other lanes, your best option is to make plays bot lane (or mid, but I prefer bot since there are more potential kills and you are always a level ahead). You can either recall and walk to the lane and save tp to head back top or you can go for the tp gank.

You can also try pushing out two turrets in your lane too draw jungle pressure but that's only if you snowballed hard.

I'm P1, usually I'm just farming for like ten minutes straight until there is a fight for dragon. It usually doesn't matter if I die once or twice in lane since it all evens out in team fights.

In my guide ( http://www.lolking.net/guides/336905 ) i have placed a lot of information regarding the benefits or running teleport and how to use that to increase your advantage against opponents :)

Hopefully it helps :D
