Please. his entire kit and strengths revolve around having tons of communication.
His weaknesses show up when theres not much communication.
So don't play Tahm Kench without a duo. (or you reach dia/masters and people generally know what to do.)
same with Bard. In fact, Bard is so useless in lower elo that he may as well be gangplank without parley. Using a duo helps this.
Tahm can also perform in top lane. Played him enough to learn that. But he's best with a coordinated team bottom, you're right..But don't fully exclude him out from solo-play just because his kit requires a bit more trust from his allies. Early-on it's gonna be weird, but like in the PBE -- People learned fast how he's played.
P.S. As far as Bard, he's my favorite support..I'm a solo Plat 1 history player (at least from what I recall, I took a 3 month hiatus for hospital stay), and he doesn't need a duo nearly as much as what Tahm would require.
